I have a 01 sedan ex auto and i was driving on the freeway when a Sentra SE-R pulls behind me and starts riding my tail. So I take off on him and tries to keep up but I was able to move better through the cars. We get off the freeway and there is traffic so I pull into a lane where I know I can get ahead and he comes three lanes over to get behind me. We start heading up a hill and I take off, he pulls next to me and we are off. Now it is just us two, before I know it we are going 90+ mph. Now get this, I have my pedal all the way the VTEC kicked in already and the rpm's are starting to drop when he take's off on me. I know I have an auto but still damn why the hell was he able to do that. I am guessing he has a 6-speed. We almost hit a truck then went our ways, I felt so violated after that. I think it is time for serious mods. Tell me if anyone has gone head up with one of these cars and what is the result?

90mph...
off the free way...
in traffic....
switchin lanes...
up hills with blindspots on the other side...
an almost hit a truck....

anywaz... the n spec v.. is I think is 2.5 liters 165 hp.. 175 torque thats why he could pull on you highend

also if you had mods... you would have been going faster
= less control an braking ability... an you prob would of run smack dab into that truck killing yourself an possibly other..

Yeah I don't think you wanna mess with any of the sentras. They are all pretty quick Stock. I mean I don't know how our honda engines will do against 126 hp and 129 tq. on an XE and GXE but I know you couldn't touch 165 HP and 175 TQ on an SE-R or 175 HP and 180 TQ on an SE-R Spec V. Nissans are torque machines, mods on our cars will help but those New Sentras are just quick, but like they say racing is 90% driver and 10% car. Oh and another thing, don't race when traffic is heavy, bad mistake.

and you lost cause that spec v has more Hp and torque then we do .. and it being a 6 spd probaly didnt hurt either

I almost bought a spec v. Ultimately, I couldn't leave honda and couldn't get over how ugly the back end was and how cheap the car's exterior looked. I loved that hideous interior though and they are pretty darn fast.

Just to let you guys know, there was no danger because there were no blind curves and no traffic we both took off past the traffic. There were three lanes to work with and only us two on the street. The truck was coming out of a driveway and saw us coming like we saw him. I was very much in control of the situation and know the limit of my car.

I give Nissan mad props for their car.....they are fast as shiot...STOCK that is.
Personally I was tryin to get a 300z but my dad wasnt too excited about me getting a fast car after he saw how I drove my v8 Z28 (which I still pimp every once in a while).
But I lOVE my baby civic!
