Auto vs. Stick
Okay, I need to vent. I bought my civic not with the intent to be "fast and furious". That's why it's automatic. I was a minitrucker for 6 years and I always had a stick. I loved to be able to dump the clutch and squeal the tires. But when I bought my car, I wanted it to look aggressive but focus more on the sound system aspect. Well, my car is the Honda EX Ralley Red, and with my 17", it looks aggressive. It never fells that I'll be driving down the road and some kid will pull up next to me, rev the engine, and fly off. I know these kids don't have much under the hood, other than a cai/sai and maybe a catback. My question, how can I gain more horses. I don't plan on racing. But it would be nice to have some extra HP just for those occasions.
I have plans already to put a MacnaFlow Catback system on it, plus a cai. That should help some. I would love to hear what the rest of the automatics in this forum have done.

first off alot of those kids if they have enough money to have a nice car they probably have enough money to mod their engine so they probably do have a lot underneath the hood but i dont know. if u want more hp get a catback or some form of exhaust, headers, cold airintake E/H/I then with all 3 of these things working together u will get a slight increase in hp but not much. thats pretty much what everyone on here will tell u.

Jackson racing should be coming out with a supercharger soon enough if they havent yet, or even a turbocharger from HKS or someone would give ya more horses. I wouldn't do nitrous if you don't plan to race though. Sure its butt loads of power and all, but it also cooks your motor real fast.

for one thing jackson racing isnt makeing a SC for our car and HKS wont have a turbo out for another 6 months or more. and nitrious wont hurt your engine to bad as long as u use it correctly.
imo, if you bought an automatic, get airbags. this way when one of these kids try to race you, sheeeit, just pancake that beitch and bump the sounds. theyll get the message
