lol.. i got my SS-P's for 1250 shipped (from so-cal to upstate NY)... but then again that was an over-the-phone deal I was hooked up with by another member a loooong *** time ago..
but yea.. talk to one of the two aforementioned sites/member-dealers here (truehonda and dezod, respectively) and see what kinda deals they can cut you

Re: Where Did Everyone Buy There Tein Basics??
i'm not sure about the top mounts, but it's a direct replacement..
Re: Where Did Everyone Buy There Tein Basics??
i believe that the tein basics fixed that issue. I bought them when they first came out and bought them for 830 picked up. That was back in 02-03 and the upper mounts did not fit my 02 since they were designed for the 01. SInce then i believed that fixed the issue.
If you did need the upper mount, they sell it at honda. i think they were like 32 bucks for both of them. I'm sure they released the new style now of the basics where it's a direct replacement now.

tein basics - you have to reuse the OEM top portion in the rear and front and if ur car isnt 01 then u have to get the top mounts. I think it might come standard when ordered since I have 2 mounts that I did not need and I have an 01. Anything shipped below 1 grand is a decent price.

scroll down at the parts section and that will give u details on what you need to reuse.
oem front base mount, bearings, rear base mount, collars, etc
so yes you need to tear your springs apart

for hte last time...YOU DO NOT have to TEAR ANYTHING APART!!! konis are only shocks. This is a direct replacement.

don't know what you're talking about tearing your springs apart. We use like a little part on our stock stuff.
i think he was asking on literally TEARING into the our old struts since koni don't make a replacement part like tokicos.

Re: Where Did Everyone Buy There Tein Basics??
basics do not come with the upper mounts so you will do more work. other types of coilovers like D2s and the more expensive tein coilovers have the upper mount already assembled so all you do is bolt on.
the basics require that you "tear" into your old shocks by disassembling them, since you reuse the OEM parts. And yes its a pain to do!!! especially since you have to compress the front springs a bit.
as for D2s over basics, i really have no clue - but honestly i'm kind of pissed off that my shocks are already making noise when I go over speed bumps slowly - and they are barely 2 weeks old overhauled!!! I love Tein for their customer service, but I don't think their over hauling was back to factory specs. My car isn't as bouncy as before when the seals broke, but it's not as stiff as I'd like it to be. I'm going to look into koni and ground control in the future.
