Lost to a Civic Type R (and I liked it :) )

Since everyone is racing and seeing Si's all around these last couple of weeks, let me tell you about my first real-life (as in non-showroom) encounter with a Civic Type R here.
I was comming home today when I noticed some very big headlights behind me, so I dropped to the slow lane. There it was, a Silver Type R with 2 guys. We stopped side by side at the next red light. He started revving his engine right away and the lights changed before I could put my window down to have a chat first. There's no way I was gonna give up that easy, so my trusted LX did her best when we both lauched. We stayed side by side until I hit 6500rpm and had to shift. Off course he went on and pulled away but only about 2 car lengths when he let me come up next to him. I didn't try any further, coz it wasn't a good place to race and streetracing is just too dangerous. We stopped at the next light and he told me it wasn't his car, but the dealers.
Even though I lost, I had a great time.

You lucky uncle-fugging PRUNE!!!!!! Naw, but seriously, I can just sense over the net that it was a beautiful experience. I wonder how much it would cost to import one. . .

Importing would not be that expensive, but making it street legal would.

Yeah the Type R is awesome, I would really like one of them. I just feel my time owning it would be small with the huge theft on them LOL. It would be the garaged and protected ride LOL when I was at work.

What year CTR? Um, am I missing something? My understanding was the CTR only came in white..... unless they are offering a different color in England than in japan.

The CTR comes in either silver, black or red here in Europe. I've only seen black and silver though. Perhaps the white CTR's are made in Japan instead of the UK ??
