no, that stuff insulates heat. They make specific reflective coatings just for intakes. If you must, go to summit racing at www.summitracing.com and look it up. I think DFI makes it, but i may be wrong. However, I think its money wasted unless you have something putting out a lot of xtra heat under your hood such as a turbo.
I'd say yes to headers... air will be hotter not being able to dissapate through headers through the exhaust... but it will keep the engine bay a lil cooler.. so if yo have a aem cai or any sai might make the air they suck in that much cooler... for like $20 its worth a try.. through prob wont be able to feel a thing.. however as far as wrapping the intake itself.. I thin kyou want heat dissapating out of it

header (note the SINGAL context, ie headER) wrap will not only void any warrenty on your aftermarket header(s) or stock manifold (that is if you have a car that uses tublar exhaust manifold(s) ). But, they will also induce premature cracking of the steel and will quickly wear down any coating (ie chrome or powdercoating) on said exhaust systems (and yes, this goes for the entire exhaust)
