<< And yes, it kicks the RSX Type-S' *** in every way, so it might make marketing difficult for Acura. >>

0-60 in 6.4 secs. Rumors are for US arrival in 2003, according to SCC ........ but with statements like the one above, chances are it won't show up, just so they can protect Acura's sales.

<< With the K20C, as tuned for the RSX Type-S and Civic Type R, >>

its already been proven with pictures that K20A2 is the Type S' block code. So either there wrong, or the Type R has a different engine in it. Gawd I wish people would take pictures...

Yeah, I just picked up that issue..... but that article kind of pissed me off. Jared Holstein, the writer, starts off his story with

"RWD cars aside, the Civic Type R is the only attractive car sold by Honda this year. "

Well Jared, You can Kiss my A$$!

Ahhh... now that- that has been taken care of, the article wasn't that bad. It at least had some interesting information. Civic Type R= MMmmmmm.

what i want to know is why didnt honda make the 7thgen vics with a K block engine?????
HOW STUPID CAN THEY BE?????
and the civic type R is suppose to be putting out 197 hp and the RSX-S is puttin out 200 so i dont realy think its the same engine

personally i think honda need to put the SI and type R engine in the coupes
the coupes loook a hell of a lot better to me

:sigh; This topic has been covered before. Honda should NEVER have made the last Si a coupe. The performance models of the civic have ALWAYS been hatchbacks, except '99-'00 North American models. hatchbacks are honda's bread and butter and they never should have made an Si coupe. JMO

Hmm... redlines at 7900 RPMs... but has a genuine Type R top speed... ah... the power of that car is very tempting... even for a hatch like that one... but it's a Honda... <3 ... I would so love to go up against one of those in the future once I get my...

This is kinda off the subject a little, but does anyone know the Bolt Pattern for the 2002 Civic Type R Wheels..
I think they look sweet as funk, and would like to get a pair for my Prelude, if they fit, that is....Thanks !!

Whats up all? Well just found the Mag in my mailbox today, and first pages I flipped to was the Type R, my buds still hate it but forget that. I think it looks way better than the SI by far. That 0 - 60 in 6.4 I will take, and that 146 MPH is totally bad too. I definately would take one, still love the coupe look of mine but I would take that type R and the 6 speed is nice. But will it make here by 2003 who knows, the new V6 Accord Manual will be out by then, and all of the other new honda models. I like it even though I dislike the hatchback, that engine is Nice.
