I am. Lx to Ex exhaust swap, suspension, and the first part of my ongoing NA build did it for me.

i dont even wanna think about this lol. but i guess stuff happens for a reason and if i didnt lose money on alot of stuff i wouldnt have the car i do now which i cant complain. its a learning experience and everyone goes there differently.

I never buy anything i know i can't afford at the time. all my purchases (in general, not just car related) are monitored by the "cheap bastard/me" LOL. i also prioritize on what i buy, i mean important things comes first before i buy stuff for my car. there were moments when i buy something for my car and it brings me to being tight on things but those only last like a week or so until new funds rush in.
but yeah, im not here to school u guys on spending so im just gonna say, NO i've never been really broke because i mod my car. well i always tell everyone that "I'm broke" anyways cuz it's fun to say it even though im not.
it's better than some people who think they got the shiz but their pockets are empty... all surface wealth

Oh god ! if i start ... its going to be a Long Long Long List man !!! oh well here it is !

My favourite mod is my AEM V2 intake which i simplky bought from ebay $240 shipped and installed it by myself

After the intake i fell for a very bad deal through this guy and i got my 17's for a 100 bucks by exchanging my original EX rims which had 95% tread on em ! Soon after i got those 17s I got the allignemnt dont and my car would always pull to the left or the right !!

Tirekingdom: $49.99 +tax >>> Dint solve the problem and said that for some reason ur frame is bent in the front u have to take it to a body shop ! previous owner had messed something up big time i guess but the funny thing is that it wasnt happening with the the EX wheels

Body shop charged $600 bucks (supposedly pulled the frame) replaces SPINDLES on the rear .and befroe even started they sent me to their own ****ing allignemnt shop !!! $50... problem still didnt go !!!

after a few days i realized that my car was tilting on the fron passenger side. showed it to friends and all agreed and said u gotta change ur spring ... Found the perfect oppurtunity to lower the car ... well went to a shop got oit lowered with dropzones $180.00

Faggs told me i dont need a camber kit on a civic ... things changed dramatically after the drop and the guy said oh its going to be another $450 for the camber kit installed ... Im like .. dont u take the pain of ordering the camber kits ... ill get em my self .... Ebay strikes again $150 for both rear and front Ingalls kit ... installed for $80 bucks and alligned ...
Found out Honda and most tire shops dont allign lowered cars went to the specialones and they charged $80 for it !!!

Problem still didnt go and the back wheels were scrubbing real bad ... At the same times my Kumhos went bald at only 11000miles !!! got General UHP's for $350 ! and goit the scrubbing fixed in twhich the body shop messed up my rear quarter panels

Got the new tires installed ... got car washed and waxed ... 15 minutes later got REAR ENDED !!! by a 15 year old driving his brothers brand new sonata ... well cops took care evertyhning car went to Lexus dealership to get fixed drove a corolla LE for 2 weeks .... and had to pay partial for the rental !!! $150

Car comes back everything fixed ... car pulling to left and right sometimes was still there ... decided to throw my 17's away and get 15's (the ones that i just got) >>>$625 and guess what yeah i know right its like a witches spell or something !!! ... problems still there !!!


Oh boy ,.... sometimes i just stare at my car and think .. that may be if i had waited a lil more ... saved up a bit .. i wud be better of leasing a 3 series beamer or something which comes with sweet wheels... less wheel gap and needs no mods man !!! ... but ah well ... I love my vic and so now Im keepin it till the millionth mile !!! or even more than that !

BTW this is gonna be the hottest topic on the forums guys so go ahead ... none of ur wives and gfs are reading here .. u can share the pain

well.. my recent goal to get out of sparco to matching Takata's, will do it, and i got to wait a week for the next check or two, and bills to ge tthe pads... so im still sitting on a few bills.. but not broke.. i spend accordingly! and have a GF..!-)

The guys there are cool and are doing me a favor otherwise they could tell my to slap my plastic on the table and pay in full right now.

LMAO, Speedfoos, I hear this type of thing all day, since Im the oldest one. We're not that old..lol.

I have been broke a few times, cause of the car. All my mods and 3 paint jobs. I just wish I never modded anything on the exterior or interior and just saved that bunch for all motor mods. Stupid me... well we live and learn. About to be broke again, rod went bad on a rebuild, mech needs to fix for free, since he did the rebuild, but if he charges, I'll be broke, cuz my car is going else where.

Exactly!, I could have been gotten a Evo or STi, IF I saved up for 4-5yrs. But I wasn't thinking save money first and get something pricey 4-5 yrs later. I was thinking I need a car like today..lol.
