k this might be a dumb post and all but im just dying to know about this.. ok my friend has a 93 mazda protege and its pretty nice he burned up his clutch so he got a new one a "performance" one. he said he gained some power cuz the clutch was so light weight he said he also gained power cuz he got a light weight flywheel. i drove his car and the clutch pedal is pretty heavy but i did notice some power to it! he said it costed him around 800 or so.
im thinking about doing this to my car ,getting a new clutch and fly wheel. but is it worth it and would i really get more power at the wheels?? thanks for your help guys

a stronger clutch means there will be less clutch slippage (not like we have a problem with that on our 127hp monsters)
a lightened flywheel does not produce more power, it lets the engine rev quicker. A con to this is that it by lightening the flywheel you lower the flywheel's effect on your engine, making some cars idle a but wilder and causing you to lose speed faster when coasting

Rep Power: 0 do they even have a flywheel out for our gen civic, casue I know JUN is coming out with a flywheel but its not out yet, if you saw the yellow 2k1 JUN civic from the Sema show it had a prototype flywheel on it and a cam too I think.
but yeah high performance clutch and light weight flywheel help out in reducing friction and link slippage
