Re: Arial Atom with Civic Type-R engine

they don't use the supercharged CTR in it anymore.. If I remember correctly, it now uses the ECO-tec engine like in the Chevy Cobalts/Saturn Ion Redline.

The one they drove in the Top Gear episode used the CTR engine

http://arielatom.com/

I priced one way back when and it came out to about $50k for all the options I wanted, including carbon fiber panels

Re: Arial Atom with Civic Type-R engine

yea i designed one way back in the day like in 2003 or so when they first came out and the civic's engine was still an option, and then like in 05 the nulled it out and with the GEO-tech.

GO BRAMMO!!

i still get their newsletters to this day. That just did the first north American run like in Chicago i believe and they let a bunch of people test drive it. I was gonna drive there, but then i gave up cause i reminded myself it wasnt the civic engine anymore... lol

I have already mad a thread about the ATOM:

https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...fast-cars.html

The ATOM is the worlds most affordable fast car and it is the best handling bar none.

But the Bugatti has the worlds fastest title. 253 MPH....

RogerB is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Arial Atom with Civic Type-R engine

If I'm not mistaken, the version sold in the US has the Ecotec engine, while the one made in the UK has the Type-R engine.

Brammo has the rights to make the Ariel Atom in the states, while Ariel makes them over in the UK.

It may be possible to have one built in the US with the Type-R engine, but it will likely cost more.
