You don't. Just fly in to where ever the car is then drive it back.

What kind of car is it? A civic would not be happy in Northern Canada.

just make sure they don't stick the stamps on to hard, it'll ruin the paint job.

Re: how do you ship a car

look online for a car transporter call and ask for a price. one thing to look for is a company that has their own trucks and not a broker they suck. When I got my car transprted from cali to arkansas the first company i was dealing with was a broker and 4 weeks later still no truck.

Its a light little car. In the snow it has 0 traction, not to mention it probably couldnt push a 2" snow drift out of its own way.

I'd just unbolt everything, then call fedex. Have them come pick up the pile, then put it back together on the other end.

Civics don't like the snow, they don't like the cold. And they don't look good covered in road salt.

Re: how do you ship a car

I live in south-eastern Ontario, we have snow for a good 4-5 months, but not TONS of it like Northern Ontario. I figure I'll just get it washed and cleaned a lot and DEFINITELY oil sprayed before and after. I hear you on the older vics Way to go!

are you kidding me? "no traction"; cant push a 2" snow drift? HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED A WINTER EVER? my civic handles amazingly in the winter time, winter driving isnt based on the car, its the driver

amazing winter car + shitty driver = car accident
bad winter car + good driver= no problems

yea a civic with 100,000km+ which costs well over 14grand is a great deal

im woried that if i buy a car with more than 80,000 kilometres(40,000 miles) on it, its more likely to experience car problems

Isn't this a civic forum? I could of sworn it was anyway, or a better question aren't civics made by Honda? What the hell do you mean?!?!?!? A honda, let alone a civic, expeirencing car problems at only 50,000 miles, I have never heard of such a thing. Buddy, civics run into the hundreds of thousands of miles, so long as it was properly maintained. My suggestion is that you find a civic up there in Canada, WITH maintainence records, and at that point mileage almost doesn't matter at all.

Re: how do you ship a car

All this trashing civics for winter driving. Pshhh!

if you throw a good set of studded winter tires on my car, it'll go anywhere a truck can, I even took it out ice fishing once. I live pretty damn far north, we get like 40-50 ft snow per year. I haven't got it stuck. plus it is fun to drive in the winter, it's handbraking season.
