Bent wheel
This really sucks. Last week I was on spring break from school and vacation from work. Me and the girlfriend(now fiance') where cruisin through Indiana at about 60 MPH and then it happened. Boom I hit a pothole that was about 2 inches deep. It actually tore the lip of my wheel. Now comes the real sucky part, the wheel design is discontinued so I can't just replace one. I have to do all four. No problem I thought. I will just file a claim withmy Insurance company. Think again. Insurance company said they are only responsible for the damaged wheel. After everything about $330.00. My deductible is $500.00 so now I am stuck replacing all 4 wheels. Well thats it, keep your eyes open in indiana. Thanks for listening. By the way it is a set of Enkeis that have now bitten the dust.
wow that really sucks... this is a good bit of advice for wheel buyers though... thanks for that much.
Perhaps try suing the municipality or road maintenance co.??? I'm not a lawyer so I have no idea what I'm nattering about.

I'd sell the three good ones. If they are discontinued, then perhaps other people with those rims would like a spare........then you can get a new set of rims!!! (New $hit is always fun)
all you have to do is go to the city where the pothole was that damaged your car. go to their cityhall, townhall or whatever and complain about what happened (show picks of the hole and your rim). i did that a couple of times and i got checks for 200 and 150 bucks. i think it helps best if you are an out of towner, b/c you can argue that you don't know the streets and you were paying more attention to traffic/road signs etc.
Yup kids... this is why it sucks to get anything 17 inches and bigger. Sorry about your rims. Rims and tires are expensive to replace! And I'm like Avenger... California has the worse roads, and Oakland/San Jose have the worse roads in the Bay Area... oh look, I live in Oakland! 17s? Only for show. I'm sticking with 16s.
