As some of you may know, most of the members of 7thgencivic.com would like to have one large meet sometime during the summer. As we all know, it would be very difficult to pinpoint one location in the U.S. that everyone would be able and willing to meet at. This is why, it has been suggested that there be three meets. There will be one on the west coast in San Francisco, CA, one in Chicago, IL, and another in Orlando, FL. Of course, everyone is welcome to appear at all three if they would like. The dates will probably be set in June and July because most of us will be out of school. I'll start by suggesting some dates like:
San Francisco, CA - July 19-21, 2002
Chicago, IL - July 13-14, 2002? (still being decided)
Orlando, FL - June 29-30, 2002? (still being decided)
The dates and exact location of each meet can be discussed in the following threads:

Chicago

Once a date and exact location has been decided on, it will be posted in this thread.
The meets will be one day events, and most likely on a Saturday.

Due to popular demand, we will attempt to organize a meet for the Canada folks. Everyone will be invited to this meet except for Boohahaha!!! j/k If you want to discuss the best place for this meet, go to the following thread:

The meet on the west coast has been moved to San Francisco, CA. The majority of the people that have posted in the other thread have said that the Bay Area would be a better location.

June in LA is good for me, and I'll probably make the chicago meet too.... A Canada meet would be sweet, maybe move the meet just north of the border.... Have our canadian cousins show us around

i think we should move the northern part of the meet closer to canada, or in canada....or just add one more leg for the north eastern area....eastern NY, Niagara falls, Buffallo....etc, just an idea..

I think there should be individual organizers for the diff locations. Should be up to them if they want a one day or more thing. should think about getting hotel rates etc. If some ppl have wireless internet or something, we might be able to do a video conference, or get some isp to sponsor us for it or something. maybe setup a big bbq picnic or something. just throwing ideas up. but we need a good hotel deal since ppl will be driving a long way.

edit: i guess we would all have to have the meet the same day for the vid conf thing.

The San Francisco Meet will be on July 19-21. It looks like the main meet will be on the 20th, but it's still being decided in the San Francisco thread.
