evos are overrated...and this new X is overrated. only evo id ever get would be a 9. as far as sti evo battle. id pick an sti over an evo..only cuz i believe sti's are faster on the road course then an evo. but thats my opinion. i think evo's are a whole letter better on the straights

actually, its the other way around, evos can handle corners, but sti's can pull on the straights. Saw it on Best Motoring: sti/evo battle

i so happen to have that dvd. thats why i said imo. but anyways id still pick an sti. u dont see as much evos as u do sti's in bmi/hvi

I think I'm going to have to disagree on both counts. The next STi is even more hardcore, and it's a sexy hot-hatch. I think it'll appeal to a broader audience, but it's still understated and muscular.
And the Mazdaspeed3, if that's what you're refering to, is hardly a POS.

actually the evo did better in the quarter mile and on the salom test.

2006 evo vs 2006 sti.
the evo came slightly ahead in quarter mile, 0-60 time and salom test. sti had better braking power and little more refined abs.

^ i think really its all driver. even the best drivers themselves cant be absolutely perfect each time they test. so times and performance can vary. and even if they are perfect. to imitate exactly the same way is impossible. and going back to the topic of 08 lancer and evo vs sti, i think sti would be on top of it. if u look at it, mitsu is always changing their design and if u noticed that subaru's design is pretty much the same. only way mitsu evo would pull on top is cuz of the increased power they are putting in it.

sti might be faster and everything, but id still pick the evo, just because i like the way it looks compared to the sti. but then again, everyone has their own preferences.....
