Mexicans or whoever else may know...
My bro was in Mexico on vacation this past week. He said there are a lot of Ford F series down there that are "Lobo" editions. I know this translates to wolf but I was wondering if it's just a packge equivilent to the King Ranch or is it a cheaper package? Also, is there any significance to the name????

Latino celebrity Pablo Montero will appear alongside the new 2005 Ford F-150 Lobo edition in an exclusive advertising campaign.
2005 Ford F-150 Lobo edition is a new offering added to the F-Series lineup and will be built in limited production.
Since 1996, F-Series has been the best selling truck in the U.S. Hispanic marketplace.
The F-150 Lobo edition is based on the popular STX series and features several distinctive design elements.
DALLAS, TX April. 25, 2005 – Tough and capable. Untamed and spirited. Lobo – a name that’s rich with tradition – is joining the famed F-Series lineup as a limited edition offering for Ford’s truck customers in the Southwest. The new 2005 Ford F-150 Lobo edition will premier in an exclusive advertising campaign alongside Latino celebrity Pablo Montero.
Developed specifically for the Latino market, this special edition Ford F-150 Lobo makes its debut in the heart of truck country – Texas. True to its heritage, this vehicle will be a part of a one-month Latino focused advertising campaign leading up to one of the most celebrated traditional Mexican holidays -- Cinco de Mayo -- in an effort to reach out to the customers this truck was built for.
Pablo Montero, who has released five successful albums, is recognized as one of the most talented voices in traditional Mexican music. In 2004, he was nominated for a Latin Grammy award for his musical tribute to Mexican talent Javier Solis. Working with Montero helps Ford speak to its Latino audience with a solid message that combines the culture and beliefs of Latinos living in the Southwest.
"The F-150 is the number one truck sold in the Latino market, so it’s only fitting that Ford develop this truck exclusively for this segment," said Doug Scott, Ford truck group marketing manager. "Renowned in Mexico for years, the Lobo name now is finding its way north of the border and will be sold only in the U.S. Southwest region where the mass of the customers are located."
MSRP for the 2005 F-150 Lobo STX edition 4x2 SuperCab is $26,355, not including the destination and delivery charge of $795.

I guess the Lobo edition is like the Eddie Bauer edition
No significance of the name Lobo really and Pablo Montero is pretty hot minus the 1 eyebrow.
