i dunno all of a sudden i feel like everybody hates the Si hatch...well guess wut they have always been hatchs..Honda makes Si coupes for 2 years and everybody jumps on the band wagon...the whole point of the Si when it came out in '86 was to make a light weight compact street car...not to make a 2 door car and throw on 19's and have some kinda crazy aluminum wing...personally i think the 99-00 Si were great cars...but i don't see anythign wrong with the hatches...Honda takes them away for 2 years and everybody is starting to forget it's roots...BTW i think teh EK9's are one of the best cars to mod..so much u can do to it and so much fun to drive...

I do not know why everyone hates them but personally i liked the 6th gen hatches i wanted one so bad but then ended up with a 7th gen.But as for the new ones i think there but i do like it for its power.I choose power over looks anyday so it doesent bother me.and plus i havent seen the hatches in person.Maybe it will look better in person???.Just like my friends 2 door coupe(incapearl)7th gen when i saw it in pictures i was like then i saw it in person n i was like this car looks fu*kin awesome

I don't like the way it looks stock (Si). Personally I like the way the White R looks with the Rims and lip kit/spoiler. As for the whole point of you saying they wanted a light weight compact, its funny how Honda now makes A HATCH heavier than their coupes...and the Si hatch was never the greatest plat to swap into considering it was the HEAVIEST hatch...personally the previous gen hatchs were all great to throw swaps into...but this thing..where to start..best to just cross your fingers, your toes and hope Honda brings the CTR over..but then..youd be stuck w/ an Si

thats wut i mean when i first got the 7th everyone i knew was like eww..wtf y u get that? cause everyone was so used to the 6g they coudln't adapt to the 7g...but the 7g has more hp and a 1.7 compared to 1.6...i mean the 7g are is a totally different car with a body kit on it...i dun think that many ppl has seen the 02 Si in person so i dun no why they have so much to say...maybe you'll get used to it...just like Air jordans i swear everytime he comes out with a new pair of sneakers i see then say "damn those are ugly" but after i see it a few more times i end up buying them..casue the more i look at them the more i think it looks better...PEOPLE WE JUST NEED TO ADAPT to something new...

<< I don't hate it. That engine's got TONS of potential >>

First off, i think alot of people are disappointed as am I, with the new Si's performance. and from the few magazines that had a chance to drive it, werent thrilled either. the numbers reported werent far off of a an EX 5spd really.....not to be a mag racer, just stating available stats to date.......... it looks decent, needs to be dropped HARDCORE, but with typeR skirts and some rims, it has potential. i just dont think it stacks up to the 99-00 SI's performance dollar value. New cars usually get better performance, and this one really didnt, besides offering some better midrange torque. just my opnion tho

I think Honda missed the boat with the Si the performance isn't great it doesn't have the high performance vtec the 99-00 Si had I got the technicians training CD at work I was like cool so I put in the computer and started going through it the car is pretty neat until they explained the way the vtec worked
1st off it is only on the intake cam and when it engages all it does is open up the second intake valve
I was like wtf no wild cam lobe that sucks
guess I'll wait and see if they bring the type-r here

Personally i think they look sweet @ss, i love them. I especially love the new type r. I also think the new shifter is pretty sweet. It is different and from what i have heard it isn't akward at all. It is also unique, and i love to be unique!

i hate it cuz i now hate most FWD hondas, and i hate it cuz it is (at best) as fast as the 6th gen Si, because of the added weight. that's all, the motor's fine, who gives a fvck about that, the chassis is just heavier than it should be... if this car weighed as much as a 7th gen EX coupe, it'd be ideal, though judging by the size it should weigh as much as a 7th gen DX coupe

for all you guys talking about going for performance over looks... why the heII did you buy a 7th gen civic... an if you say price an now 1 year later trading it in for a 19,000 plus car.. not to mention buying out your lease an th emoney you lose there.. you coul dhave easily bought a rsx or any number of cars that will run circles around the new si

first of all i didn't want to get a sprts car cause i needed a daily driver that is y i got the 7g..but after i saw the Si i couldn't resist it cause damn it I LOVE HATCH BACKS...and i am not loosing that much money cause.. well its confusing...ok he it goes i had a 2k1 2 door ex (stick) with almost 30k miles it i traded with my friend for his 2k1 four door lx auto with 7k miles on it..and he gave me 3k in cash..he wanted a 5speed so i traded with him. the i borught teh lx to the dealership and they were amazed at teh low milage and gave me 13k for the trade in ...they don't know the msrp yet but the said from 18-19k..so i put $500 to reserve one cause they tellin me they not gonna get that many of them...i went to this otehr dealer they told me they only gonna get 2 !!! so after i payoff the lx with teh 13k i still have about 9k left i throw in another 3k so my downpayment for the SI will be around 11k...so after taxes and everythign else i think my payments will be about 180-220 a month..which is only about $30-60 more from wut i pay now...depending on teh intrest rate (which is suppose to be 2.9)

MSRP on the new Si is 19440. Knowing the way Dealers are expect that to be a little bit higher.

20k for a Civic is a little too much. Id take a base RSX (Integra) knowing I would pay less and have more torque

Hey neo ever drive the RSX?? It feels cheap as h3ll, I don't know why but I really didn't like it. I won't pass judgement on the Si until my test drive next week.

If i had to chose between a base RSX and a Si i woudl chose the Si cause more "rare" well at least that is wut the dealers are telling me..cause they are not getting as many Si's as tehy thogut they will be getting andin my area there are so many RSX's
