Handbrake light on

Hello everybody. I have a problem with my handbrake indicator in the console. It remained on although the handbrake is already disengage....all the way down. I noticed this just this morning though I used the car last night and I haven't noticed the handbrake light is on. Would it be;

1. Overnight was cold and this morning it was -4C with windchill = -14C. Maybe the sensor was frozen?
2. Brake fluid is below min.
....

I still drove the car and I don't feel any abnormalities in braking. Do I have to bring it right away to the shop to have it checked?

Pls. I need your opinions...Thanks in advance..

rice4lyfe will become famous soon enough
oh, you should never fill up brake fluid right away, check you brakes for how much wear is applied, then fill a bit, just to min. You dont want to overflow the master cylinder resevior when putting on new brake pads.
