Window tinting question

I own a 2002 Civic EX coupe and was thinking of tinting all the windows except the windshield. Most likely, I will get it done by a pro, but I came across this website:

http://www.snaptint.com/car-tint.html

Does anyone have any experience with this product? If so, please give me some feedback.

Thanks in advance.

I got my car tinted (every window) for the same price as their tint costs, plus I didn't risk screwing it up.

If you've had experiance with tinting go ahead and do it but I've tried it myself and it takes a lot of patience and skill, both of which I didn't have. I will say that I had to cut the tint myself, which was about 90% of my problem, part of the other problem was not having the window clean enough and getting bumps/bubbles.

So i guess if you want to do it to say you tinted your car yourself, and it's really expensive to have a pro do it, go ahead. If you don't want to risk screwing up, go professional.

I wouldn't do it, I could see myself totally screwing it up. Plus if you go to a professional you can get a warranty.

I don't know much about window tinting except that I want a pro to do it so I don't screw it up. I have an '03 civic coupe and got an estimate for the small back windows and rear window, about $100 - is that a reasonable price? Also, I guess I can only get 35% because that is the limit for both VA and NH (where I live). Should I still tint the back windows, and are there any other choices I have or things I should know? Any help is GREATLY appreciated, thanks!

$100 for the back three is prolly the cheapest you can get them done for, i myself have never seen cheaper. There are many benefits to tinting, so yeah, if you want to spend the money...tint! 1) keeps car cooler 2) blocks UV rays 3) looks....do a search....

I ordered from snaptint. I have a coupe so it took me a good three hours just to the two rear windows. I fudged up the rear window so i just left it. Snap tint lets you rebuy the tint for 9.99 not including shipping for any of the windows. The tint looks really good. I mean not as good as getting it burnt but good enough for me. I still have the two front tints but since front tints are illegal in nj i just got 80 percent tint which should block the uv rays. I might order the rear window tint and have my local shop install it for me. You can spend about 60 bucks to get the whole tint kit for all the windows but its a big pain in the *** to get it on there and the bubbles are the worse. The back window you might as well get a porfessional to do it or another person to help you. all the other windows are easy once you know what you're doing.

Best of luck with the tinting.

Doing it yourself can save money but professional route is best, especially since mine came with a lifetime guarantee. Only 150 for my old cultass, the vic came with tint from dealer.

Why was this thread ressurected after 2 months?? Just pay to get it done, it doesn't cost much more, and you'll save yourself a lot of headaches.
