Why did/didn't you buy one? Likes and dislikes, please. Be honest. Thanks.

I need to make a decision w/in a week and want to have no regrets. Thanks.

Youre kidding me, right. Ha Ha Ha GM! Oh no, I think you may be serious. Dear God, do you not realize what shiet general motors cars are? If I had bought one instead of my 2k1, it would be worth about 8 grand right now, really Sweet!

Edit: Hold on here, I can't let this one go so easily. Of all the cars to regret not having bought instead of my civic, .... a Pontiac? Doesn't even make the list.

I looked at a few Grand Prix GTP's before i got my civic, i really wanted on, supercharged, 240 hp 280 tq, add a pulley you have about 280 hp 3?? tq. they are pretty sweet lookin and fast as hell, but they breakdown easily, and i needed somethin reliable more than performance, so i went with the honda. I am a junior in High School and i need a car that is going to last me all the way through college, at a college 1 hour away from where i live
also if you ever get a pontiac, make sure its a GTP or a Trans Am, only good cars they make

My dad was trying to force me into buying a Sunfire, before I got the Civic.. Truthfully, I still don't know if I really made the right choice because the Sunfire was $4000 less, and included ABS and a CD player which my Civic didnt. I wonder if Sunfires rattle like a b*tch, too?

I just don't like the look of the new Grand Am's. Those ribs all along the bottom just is'nt for me. Also, I wanted something very reliable with a good reputation. Enter HONDA.

Every sunfire i have been in turns to crap...rattles...plastic everywhere...very cheesy interior look...civics are just cleaner...simpler...and better looker...not to mention they will last a lot longer...

Keep in mind that the grand am is competing with the accord and the stratus, among other cars. It's in a different class than the civic.

I test drove a cavalier before i got my civic bought for me. It sucked. The interior was cheap, the acceleration was nonexistant and it looked like *** IMO. Plus, with the prices i was quoted, the cavalier was only about $800-$1000 less than my Civic DX. And sunfires are a bit more expensive than cavaliers, aren't they?

Sunfires are girl cars....seriously....95% of the ppl driving them are female!

You made the right choice man....but how much did you pay for your civic, and what model did you get?
I got my DX for $18,500 after all the taxes and fees.

Anyway, back to the original post. Why would you consider a Grand Am GT even in the same class as a civic? Aren't they like $5000-$7000 more expensive??

I considered it, with the V6 and all, but Honda's have a better reputation plus they look a lot beter and it's easier to modify

Nope! I knew what I wanted but I wasn't expecting a 2K1!! This works just fine though, no complaints from me about that!
