Go for the evo man, great platform to start off for power. The rsx would be great to build too but you'll be spending a lot of cash to make it as fast as an evo IMO. Either way both motors > than d17.
i begg to differ!! if he already has the motor and s/c then the money is already spent. a s/c k swapped vic is rarer than an evo. the difference in power would be minimal. look at transformedbg he puts down about the same power as an evo. i say keep the vic and finish your project. your buddy with the evo will be pissed when you go door to door with him.
dont get an evo...i just sold mine bc i hated it. sure its fast as **** but your driving a 4 door with a huge wing. people that dont know its an evo will talk **** and think your a ricer. the awd and stock turbo is great. but i dunno it wasnt for me. I opted to sell it and just picked up a 2006 S2000 in silverstone.

EVO ftw, stock turbo vs aftermarker FI. your proabably have more problems with the swapped car. atleast the Evo has a warranty, it is also super easy to mod and get good gains, a new dp/exhaust does alot on it.

oh my god are you actually being serious? even if the two cars put down the exact same numbers, they are not at all the same things. if you've never owned a turbo awd car, you just wouldn't understand.

It's funnier to whoop someones *** in a swapped vic then an evo. People know whats comming in an evo, they have no clue with the swap
Peoples faces after getting raped by a swap > driving an evo. And yes, I would know.

Yep, nothings more satisfying to me then watching the guys face as it turns to a "horror" look in the car next to you as you start to walk away from him, and your still at 3/4 throttle

Maintain the element of suprise, keep the civic. Anyone can go out an buy an evo, given the necessary cash, but not many in this world can swap and add FI and get it to work right. Besides, I'm sure you've got other mods in the civic, why start all over again?
EVOS are NOT DSMs sorry boys...
