**Orlando Honda owners**
Not sure if this is the right place to post this seeing as this is my first official post...
Anyway, anyone living in the orlando area driving a Honda needs to be SERIOUSLY careful about the security of their vehicle. Last night my 03 Civic was broken into and I had my battery and complete system stolen. This happened in a nice neighborhood in Oviedo, away from main roads and parked right in front of my house. The hood was pried open and the power cables clipped (no alarm yet
) They then forced the siding of my window off and somehow unlocked the door using the internal workings right at the latch point where door meets car. They were able to make off with anything electronic (seriously, even my car charger for my phone) in a VERY short amount of time. The responding officer said that mine was the 7th break in of a Honda reported last night in my area. He also told me that earlier in the week 30, I kid you not, THIRTY Hondas were either broken into or stolen completely in Winter Springs. They left the stolen cars stripped and covered in paint inside and out to hide prints. They know what they are doing and what they are looking for ( its not like my car is ricey or obnoxious at all, all you can see really looking at it is the drop, black stockies and my head unit). They had to have either followed me home or driven around looking for specific vehicles to hit. They are driving some sort of import with an exhaust because it woke me up at 3am after they had broken into my car and sped off. The cops said that they had been tracking the movement of these thieves around the Orlando metro area and have noticed that they exclusively target Honda's. Just wanted to let you guys know seeing as though at LEAST 37 cars have been hit so far... Sorry for the huge post/rant but I wouldnt want anyone else to be hit too.
