New 2002 Civic Coupe "Veloz"

Don't know if this has been posted before, but there's a new trim level for the 2002 Civic Coupe called the "VELOZ" on the Honda Canada website. It's basically an EX (or Si) model with the following add-ons:

- OEM spoiler
- OEM side skirts
- OEM front skirt
- OEM rear skirt
- carbon fibre audio panel
- chrome exhaust finisher
- custom Veloz floor mats
- and even an official "Veloz" emblem on the trunk

This trim costs around $2600 CAN (or $1650 US) more than the regular EX coupe and only comes in black or silver. Website: 2002 Civic Veloz

Apparently, this "official" trim level is only offered in Canada, cuz I haven't seen this on the US Honda website yet. I say "official", cuz I know some dealers will make up their own packages with skirts and other extras, which isn't an official trim offering from Honda itself.

Yep, it's been posted before. Look at the Canadian forums. That's the car I'll be getting this week. Ordered it at least a month ago. I'd post pictures of the emblem but my camera died. I took it to the dealership. But it's red on either grey/silver on top of black. Red lettering, silver/black outline. Really thin emblem.

You forgot to mention that the colors only come in NBP (black) or SSM (silver). I'll be getting the black one. I'm sooooo excited!!!

Player: pics of that "Veloz" emblem would be great. I'm just curious to see what it looks like.

I've noticed pricing problems on that site too. Just keep selecting and deselecting options and it eventually happens.

Anyway, I don't have pics yet. I'll have actual pics hopefully this week... When I get the car. I hope this thread is still alive at that time. My camera died when I tried to take a pic of the emblem. However, I do have the brochure but I'll have to see my dad for the scanner. He steals all my hardware.

The lettering looks like a mix between caligraphy and handwriting.

It's Spanish. Anyway, I'm going to upload how the emblem is going to look. I had to take a pic of my brochure because my scanner is with my dad.

Cool... so the back of the car says "Si Veloz" or just "Veloz"?

And is the Veloz emblem an actual metal piece like the "Si" piece, or is it painted onto the car ?

It's a piece... But I wouldn't say metal. It looked plastic. It says "Si Veloz". The "Si" is in the original metallic color and the "Veloz" is in the 3 colors shown in my signature. Both under the right taillight side-by-side.

Nope, it's actually cheaper to get the stuff with the Veloz package by about $1700 (CAN). It's only $1100 more for the Veloz (compared to the Si). Pretty cool for something that's limited. Ronin's post is talking about the price of everything by itself. I believe the actual price is closer to $2800 for all of the stuff listed.

Ya, I didn't quite understand that pricing thing on the Honda Canada website.

MSRP for the Veloz (5 speed, with the GOP) was listed as $24,000.
MSRP for the Si (5 speed with GOP) was listed as $21,400.

But then the price for all those extras is listed as $1100? What the heck is that?

How much are you paying (before freight, all taxes and prep) on yours, Player?

I think there might be something wrong with the Honda Canada's website prices. You should call your dealers for the prices. I should upload the brochure when I have a bit more time. Check back tomorrow. But personally, I forgot how much I'm paying. A lot was thrown at me that day I went and ordered it. As it hasn't come in yet, I haven't paid any money on it just yet. I'll post that info when I get it as well.

I have to run right now so I'll have to post the details later!
