dont race on public streets!

a friend of mine (who i haven't seen to in a few years) was racing in his mustang against his friend in another mustang on PA-100 at 3am a few nights ago, someone lost control and my friends mustang hit another car and an SUV (and maybe his friends mustang too, not sure), and was split in two, and he ended up in critical condition, and his friend was killed. someone from one of the others cars went to the hospital (not sure of their condition), and the driver of the SUV had minor injuries. i found out about this when my mom found it in the paper, she happened to notice his name so she read the story.

i'm very sorry to hear that, news like this emphasizes the need for people who want to race on the street--->take it to the track (RASR). some might say, "oh, it's not as big a rush as on the streets" but in my opinion it is better. Anyways, I digress, my condolences Diz

everyone knows what can happen so if you take the risk you should be prepared for the consquences...not everyone can take it to the track

I think his point was just that this is another accident relating to street racing, which is associated with imports. It made sense...

When you take the risk of street racing it's not only you that you need to take into consideration. There are plenty of other inosent divers on the roads that do not need to be put into danger! So street race on the track or somewhere were no one but the racers are at risk! THINK

Thats pretty bad, critical condition is no condition to be in, specialy knowin it didnt have to happen if that gas pedal wasnt so heavy, but that part of the game..... ive seen alot happen in racing on public streets. so nothing suprises me. and its probably some dumb *** on the road that was like screw this guys he gonna screw with em and ends up makin tha guy loose control.... i dunno im a lil heated by that stuff cause i almost love my girlfriend to a 'dumbass' that wanted to screw with her on the freeway.... pushed her into a semi luckly all the got was some bruises and a purple hooter from the seatbelt 'hehe' but everythings a-ok..... good luck to your friend... mustangs are pretty damn fast..... but note to self... up grade suspension before racing on highways..... werd

I think some of you missed the point. What about the SUV? Were they racing? Did they take their chances?

At least on a track, it is you against the other guy. If you kill each other, you BOTH knew the risks. But tons of bystanders have been killed, the worst they were doing was watching!

I am not saying I am innocent, I raced all the time. Right up until I saw a dead body laying on the pavement, no, I did not cause it, but I certainly could have. You won't know how worthless your life is until you kill someone, then you will get to live with that forever.

So what, I support my local track, I support NHRA, NIRA, RASR, and anyone else who wants to push a car/truck/bike/boat down a TRACK!

But it won't be the $1,000 dollar fine, the possible 30 day impound, or loss of license that will keep me away from street racing. It is the memory of watching some girl I never even knew, die on a sidewalk.

Flame this all you want, joke about it, say it will never happen to you because you are way too good/careful/lucky...

Public roads are no place for racing in my opinion. I've caught people racing before, and I do not write them a ticket and let them go. The two times I've seen it, I arrest them both and book them into county jail and also add reckless driving, reckless endangerment and I impound the vehicles. I don't need to get run over or have someone else I know get run over by childish morons trying to have a good time on a public street. Just my two cents...

Don't You People Get It???

Anyone who thinks like you puts me and everyone else on the streets in danger! If you wanna race...go to the track!!! The guy in the SUV was an innocent person, and payed a shietty price by being in the wrong spot...

This is my own personal opinion...but |)/\|\/||\| all you retards!!! It's sad people have to pay the price... I have had a few friend and aquaintinces that did as well. I know or at least hope people are smarter than sometimes I give them credit for...

I know some of you will read this and just ignore me, or just think I'm over-reacting...but Who The phizuck are u to put everyone else in danger on public roads???

All I gotta say is hope I don't find your azz in my area~~~

Nuff said...I think I made my point know!

Mark

Basically what it takes for people to stop street racing is major tickets and or to have an accident and loose everything that they have spent their time and money on. That's what it took for me, I recked my civic going around a 25mph on ramp approaching it at 75mph. I have taken that turn a million times, but all it takes is one time. I have 5 speeding tickets and one careless driving ticket, I am almost 26 years old, and I am paying so much damn money for insurance. It's all gota stop, I now just use cruise control and just do my own thing. You can rev all you want, I am not going to race you. I still have a lot of friends that insist on the Friday/Saturday lets race thing. I still kick it but, even so the police are giving anyone a ticket/impounding just for being around the street racing.

I don't bother wasting the tickets on the street racers...I have several nice pairs of Smith and Wesson handcuffs for them and a free ride in a new Crown Vic to jail. We also have a nice fleet of tow trucks that will respond to impound the involved vehicles. Too many people have been seriously injured or killed by immature morons street racing and wanting to "just have fun."
