Yeah this is my 1stgen civic. It's a 1.5 sohc carb 69hp@4k and 79lb torque@3k. I also wondered if I could do swap, maybe d16y8?
Guess how much we paid for it? $400 That bitch runs strong as hell too. I haven't ever really raced anyone but it pulls pretty hard for being a dinkity

totally diggin the 1st gen. i just sold my 4th gen cause i dont have the time or the money to put into it. good luck with her swap in a d16 and boost it for a lil pocket rocket sleeper!

I would love to drive that thing.. you really get to know what a car is back in the day, today there is so much put into comfort etc etc etc but back the holy **** it was like get in stfu and drive off,,, no heater etc etc etc lollll

As long as you're going to do something unique (motor swap into a 1stgen), swap in a SOHC ZC motor... I bet alot of you don't even know it existed. But its a great, strong engine.

That's a second gen civic. Sorry. They run good though. Has a CVCC engine in it.
My first gen Accord was a 77, with the CVCC. Ran till 2002. GREAT car. On the second gen they improved the heads a bit (civic and accord) since the first gen was a bit weak between cylinders. Man, those cars could burn anything. Almost ran on beer.
