Rip out interior and put some leather in. Get decals. Get body kit. Rims. Springs. Underbody neons. Blue signals. New interior lights, EL gauges and bla bla bla.
Get a new intake.

WOW! SoOoOo much to do!! *brain cramp* e_X I wanna first do stuff like clear my headlights I guess. Simple stuff, then work toward the more challenging projects. I don' have a shop or any tools really to do what I think a lot of moddin' involves. I'm a newbie of sorts, I traded in my 89 Honda Civic DX Hatchback (worth a whole $300 on trade) and moved up to this 2002 model, which I LOVE!! I'm babyin' it right now since it's all of 4 days new, but when the new wears off I wanna start trickin' it out. Keep the suggestions comin', for now mostly the stuff that is basically no-brainer-must-do. I hope to have pics soon to post when I'm allowed to add my ride ^_^ right now administration won' let me -__- THANX SoNiCcIvIc!!

Both really, I know everything's gotta be done in moderation and especially since I'm new. This is the first car I ever attempted to mod, so maybe I should start out basic.

i hope you didn't take that offensive, i would recommend clearing out your headlights or some sort, it's challenging and it makes ur car look nice, or try painting the trims or the engine stuff

*SLAPS* Aww hell no, we're all bro's ^_~ Jus' my trademark sarcasm . . . I'm a bastard. Thanx for the feeback thought, I think my first project will be clearing the lights ^_^
maybe u shoudl start with the top three mods...intake, header, exhaust...but clearing your headlights makes your car look so much better....
just like soniccivic said ayumi is the $hit.....

Dude I did a pretty good balance of both. The general rule it tires and wheels are first on the list. Get some window tint, shave those emblems, and you have a real good start. If you want performance get an AEM CAI for starters, made a huge difference on mine. Maybe its mental but I thought so anyway. Oh one more thing, try to avoid putting stickers all over your ride, its tacky in my opinion, also considered rice on this board. But we all need alittle rice in our lives its good for the bones, lol

I say wait for more options before you go cosmetic. Right now there are several nice products out there that improve performance. Browse the forum, the parts section, read some reviews, and then make some wise decisions. Oh yeah, welcome to the forum!
Did you get auto tranny or 5 spd?
How much over invoice (if any) did you pay? Did dealer throw any extras (accys) in for free?
Just wondering...
I'm about to get a 2002 Civic EX (but a sedan for various reasons).
Good luck with your new ride!
Thanks!

Thanx EVERYONE for your replys! I think I'll go cosmetic with clearin' my lenses, then alternate and do some mechanical/performance upgrades like a new intake and exhaust, then do s'more cosmetic! ^_^ I payed about $17,730 for my EX after everything (the TTL stuff). I didn't get any accessories 'cause of all the aftermarket stuff I wanna do to it. Again, when I get a "member" status I'll post pics. I didn't get the floor mats, the spoiler, the splash guards, side airbags or any of that. I'll go aftermarket for a lot of it. Can't wait for the project to begin!! ^_^
