which would you choose?
so i was looking at cars today because im insanely bored at work and i have this strong desire to get a 4 door car. i've been searching high and low and come up with a list of 4 doors i really like but i can't decide which one i'd like to end up with (we're talking very distant future)
Toyota corolla XRS (i really like the fact that this one has a 6 speed)
Ralliart lancer (NOT the OZ rally. 2.4liters = lots of torque)
Audi A4 1.8t non-quattro (because i cant stand the look of passats and jettas. chick cars)
Integra GSR (major problem = can't find one with under 70k miles)
I know most of you would probably take the A4 in a heartbeat but its just so expensive compared to the other two. A luxury passat basically. The lancer has a big *** engine. the toyota seems to be the most practical. i really like all these cars and was wondering what you guys thought.

there really is no point in getting the mitsu or the corolla...those shouldnt be options if you have a civic. might as well just trade for a civic sedan. the corolla is total crap of a car, compared to the 7thG at least. i test drove it and it is rubbish. acceleration was crap, inside it feels cheap. just a very ordinary economy car. i am guessing the same goes for the mitsu, unless youre going for the higher end lancers.
a 6 spd transmission means nothing, you have to consider the gear ratios and spacing. a lot of people prefer a 5 speed to a 6 speed because of the shifting points compared to the power output. in many cases, a 6 speed tranny is just a marketing gimmick and really is no better or worse than a 5 speed. keep that in mind.
i like the integra, but if you cant find one w/ less than 70k, id stay away. its not that good a car. i personally like the audi, i didnt think it was uncomfortable inside, and i liked the look of the older audi designs. the newer ones lack personality on the interior layout, but the older ones were nice i thought. if you can find one in your price range and with decent miles, i'd go with that one.
otherwise, look into the civic sedan (si or whatever). i personally dont like the interior of the 8thGen, but if you dont mind its definitely the way to go. the mazda 3 is also not a bad choice. the nissan altima is also a decent car. its hard to come up with other recommendations without knowing your price range.

my mom has a 2003 matrix xrs which they are very similiar to the corola and it is a really fun car to drive if you want a lot of storage space you can look at one of those, if you like wagons you can look at the 2.5 rs from subaru which are real nice. The corolla has a really nice engine and pretty much swapable with the celica gt-s parts which means you get a decent amount of options.

i rented a new corolla while my vic was in the shop and that thing sucked *****. probably the most boring car i have ever driven. maybe the xrs is better, but i doubt it. the baby lancers are bs wannabe evos. i would get the a4 1.8t and mod the ecu(either flash or chip). just please dont get silver its gettin so played out now and especially on audis!
