problems with your ride?, READ!

ok guys!! our civic's have a lot a problems, I too have had many of the problems I've read here from our rides, but I mean, it's just a civic, not a Porsche, like one friend told me once, "you bitch too much, at least you have a 2k1 civic, it's much better than my car, and I don't complaint about it" maybe you would notice how good your ride is if you didn't keep twisting every knot and bolt to make it faster and enjoy a nice smooth ride to learn it's perks
lately, I've been enjoying just cruising with my girlfriend and the car is just amazing!!! cars aren't perfect unless you pay a huge meaningless price for it, then you can bitched you got a lemon ride...ours cars are flashy, they aren't fast, but they aint slow either, they are fast enough for their price and are very realiable besides all the problems it may brings
as long as my civic can take me from point A to point B safe and fast enough and turn a lot of heads, I'll be happy!!!!

enjoy your civics man!! if you wanted it for speed, you should have waited for the RSX or the Civic Si or Type R that is rumour to be coming to America

bye!!

I LOVE MY CIVIC.!!! I have had it a year and it still starts every morning, gets me from A to B and turns a few heads. Other than some VERY VERY small things like noises it is the best car by far I have ever owned and like you guys and gals have said "what can you expect from a civic, We didn't pay 45,000 for it"

Decamo has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Every once and a while I'm dissappointed that we have so little power. Then I think about how much I'm paying for this car and how awesome it looks. Its one of the best looking cars on the market and definately the best looking car in its price range.

I guess the power will come in time when all the tuner companies figure out how to extract it.

My car always turns heads from the drivers in cars FASTER THAN MINE!! I bought my civic b/c I thought I could mod it and make it fast, like the other hondas. Needless to say, im a tad dissapointed. Oh well, i think im gonna buy a bike or a 92-95 hatchback to fulfill my NEED FOR SPEED!!

guys seriously for 16 grand for an EX it is not bad at all.. my friend has a volvo s70 which he goes to the dealer with atleast once a month. Civics are definitely the best buy for their money. Someone tried to tell me that a Protege5 was better since it has rims, body kit, etc... I told him it looks like a station wagon though and he has already been to the mazda dealer a few times with problems... I got my 2k1 in september and the only problem is when the gas station attendant forgets to tighten the gas cap properly the check engine litght comes on, besides that,, runs like a benz... or even better...

I think some of us bitch about our cars because we did truely get a lemon. Or if you are like me you got a car that had a few problems which was understandable but the dealerships will not fix the problems. With the dealership not willing to fix the problems the car becomes a lemon like mine. Also for those of you that got lucky and got a good Civic and a good service department you don't have anything to complain about. Yeah maybe you did have to go to the dealership once or twice but they didn't continuesly screw you around they fixed the problem and you were on your way. The first year a car is introduced it is understandable to have a few problems here and there but when a company like Honda will not stand behind their product it makes you a little sour. I'm sorry but my car has to many problems and the service departments just compound the problem. I can't wait for this lawsuit to be over so I can go buy my Nissan Sentra Spec V. As far as the mention of the Volvo in once a month and the Mazda as well at least they aren't there once a week with a new problem like some of us are. It gets old and frustrating that's why we bitch.

Well there are bound to be lemons in all batches of cars even Hondas. You just got unlucky and got one. It sucks that Honda isn't standing by their promises, but they are a big business what do you want from them?? They just want your money! Civics are a really good buy for the price. I mean the only cheaper cars are Kia's, Hyundai's, Daewoos, Metros, Caveliers, Neons and Focus'. Most of would agree not to get those cars because of reliability issues. I am not complaining at the lack of speed. Granted I do have the need for speed but I probably won't be able to act on that till my mid life crisis!

All I'm saying is that Honda, big business or not, should stand behined their product. If there is knowingly something wrong with my car why won't they fix the problems. They are to cocky that's why and they think they can get away with it cuz the usually do. To add to the fact I'm a 20 year old FEMALE. Apparently I'm stupid and couldn't possibly know what the hell I'm talking about when it comes to a car. Personally I would think that a company that we have bought a lot of cars from would want to treat me right but apparently they don't want my business so like i told them I will take my business else where. A retuning customer should be treated well. At this point i have missed more work than i could afford and i have had to spend ungodly amounts of time sitting at the dealership while they pretend to fix my car. All I want from Honda is a big check and take this piece of **** car off my hands so i can go get a new car. If i had wanted to deal with a car with problems i would have spent like $300 and got a used car i would not have bought a new car. I'm just a little bitter at this point.

I love my civic too! No problems with mine at all. the only disadvantage to owning one is all the stuff you can buy for it.
