coilover genral ?

do u have to get new shocks to get the Honda Civic 2001 GC Coilover kit? cuz i was looking at them but didnt know if i need new shocks...feedback...plz....i never poked around at lowering cars so i dont know anything about it and saw a bunch of peeps had GC on here

I had coilovers in my car and i took them out to replace them with 2" lowering springs. The ride was so jacked. Dont' let them talk you into spending more money for something you don't need becuz more than likely you'll only adjust them once. But it is true...if not installed correctly, you could mess up your whole suspension system and then eventually need new shocks. Trust me...these mechanics are stupid.

i like the idea of coilovers b/c i dont feel stuck with only a 2" drop. i could drop it anywhere, and if i went to a carshow, i could drop it a sh itload, but then for everyday driving, raise it back up a lil.....yunno what im saying
