Sick of cars
Is anybody else sick of cars? Well not sick but just think its kind of old. To me it seems like it. Ive been into modifying cars since 13. I built a bad 3rd Trans Am, by the time is was 17 it was great at the time. And now I have an even faster meaner civic than the TA was. Im 20 and think im burnt out on cars. I'd rather just go buy a car that is nice and fast stock. Which is why the EVO IX is my next car. Anybody else in the same kind of situation as me. I mean I still like and appreciate cars but the whole car lifestyle is just old to me.
start trying new things w/ your rides... like auto x or going to track days... i can see why people can get bored with just making cars fast, all that depends on is money and mechanical skill.......
but i dunno, theres something different about making yourself fast

No kidding. Doubling the value of the car by putting all these stupid unnecessary parts on it doesn't make any fvcking sense. I can't believe the amount of money some people have dumped into their 4-banger entry-level economy cars on this site.
i'd upgrade to an evo.....just after i'm at least 25 and won't get raped on insurance...also i'm going to build a really sick boosted d17 7thgen and then hopefully a k-swapped 7g before i get my turbo AWD in the future
Downed but not for good

I'm sick of people not giving two sh*ts about my car (hitting it, slamming a door into it, tapping it, and denting it). I mean I spend all this money on my car and someone turns around and damages it, whats the f^cking point when there another three dents on the side a day... I wish people cared as much as I do.
I'll flip out and kill people.

i think im just sick of putting up wil lall the bullshiut that comes along with modifying cars. I mean I love the end result of being able to pull on an LT1 car and GT's. Just kind of gets old, proably cause i jsut don't have the same amount of time that I used to have when I was younger and had a crappy job. I mean im the only person at work that dosen't drive like a BMW, Mercades, Jag, or somehting like that. Priorties jsut change over time i guess. Was all about cars and girls, now all about work and girls.

My next car will be Evo IX too! I drive an auto civic sedan now and I just think that I should be a little more involved with driving. I am only 22 now, looking to buy an EVO in a year or so. Dunno how high insurance is gonna shoot up though.
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

I am 20 also. I decided a while ago I would stop modding my car since I wont be using it much after this summer.
I spend a lot of time looking for parts still LOL.
When I am out of college it will be different. I will get a nicer car from the factory, and I will be saving for things like a house and racing school and so on.

WTF r u talking about. Ur 20 why would everyone at your work be driving BMW's ect? what type of good job could you get when your 20 w/o a degree?
I would switch to bikes. If you parted out your car and returned it to stock you should have most of the $ to get a newer bike... faster, more fun to drive, ect..
^^ bank maybe? plus, you dont have to be over 20+ to have a BMW. all the guys i chill with have either e36's or e46's and were all 18/19. and the BMW's are their DD's too. so age doesnt really determine what your drive...sucks for me because i gotta crappy auto civic

Parents money partly determines what you drive. If my parents spent money like they make, I would have a nicer car.
But I am glad i worked hard for everything done to the car, and they don't just give me money whenever I want it. I appreciate work now. I am not spoiled and that is a great thing!

Yeah, my parents helped me get my civic, but I still don't feel spoiled b/c theres TONS of kids driving around campus in new A4's and WRX's (spoiled brats) I would MUCH rather drive a souped up civic that was cost effective than get a $30,000 car that has already been made up
But if you want the "respect" of driving a $30,000 car be my guest because thats the only difference between the two.

The phrase "It's not what you know, it's who you know" is true a lot of the time.

Speed wise and cost wise. A bike hands down. I love my truck. It's just alot more fun when you kill a 350Z,Mustang or any respectable quick car with a SUV.. The look on their face is priceless. I havn't been able to race a STI yet, I'm sure it'll beat me but I'll be right there.

My thoughts exactly, bike's give a whole new meaning to the word "speed"
