Evo8 vs. 350z??
hey guys, ive finally decided im actually going to sell the vic, its just not for me anymore, i really just dont like it much anymore, no motivation to mod it, no motivation to drive it... its just old. haha so im selling it and the two cars im looking at the most right now are an 03 350z (any edition, dont care) in black, or an 03 Evolution 8 in wicked white or rally red...
price aside, which would you guys chose? i value your opinions quite well, and i think u guys have good input.

I would go with 350z, evo8 is a good car, but I don't feel comfortable driving it. The handling of evo is excellent but the interior sucks, its all performance. But 350z has better interior and even though performance is not as good as evo, its still better than some other cars. Take a trip to your nearest dealer and test drove both of them and you will get what I mean, besides, i like the sound of stock 350z exhaust.
id get a s2000 over those :P. but personally between those two choices, its pretty hard. if you looking to make it fast, get a evo. if your looking for a nice daily driver you can make quick, get a 350Z. personally, id get a Evo. its handling is out of this world.

its an extremely hard choice...
evo:
+faster
+turbo
+4 doors
+handling
-more expensive
-still a 4 banger
-interior sucks
-lets be honest, they're ugly... (unless you spend mega $$ to make em not)
350z:
+somewhat cheaper
+sexy as ****
+niiiice sound
+quick
+RWD (im a fan of deep dish rear wheels)
+V-6 has a lot more potential if i TT it in a few years
-only 2 seats (but it doesnt really matter, not like i have a family)
-not as fast
-no turbo (for now)
shiiit its such a hard decision... any more input? anyone thats driven/owned either.... or even BOTH?!
sorry im 6'2'' and 200 lbs... i cant see myself in an s2000...
thanks for the thought, but im looking to spend 19-21 after bargaining on this car... i cant shell out 25G's

well... for me atleast, i would never get a used MITSU evo. especially the way most evo owners drive their cars, unless it's some old guy or someone that has his own family and seems to be a responsible person. most evo's i see are beat the **** out of (sorry for being vulgar) but yea, everyone know's it's true. i would trust nissan over mitsubishi any day. just my opinion.
I would call your insurance company and ask what the price would be for the both of them. They are both consider high risk cars so neither will be cheap, but from what I have seen evos are going to be a lot more expensive. Personally I rather drive an evo, but Id never get an evo till I was at least 25 and got the big insurance decrease, but still then probably a lot higher than the 350z. I found this pretty generalized listing before http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2...15/040271.html should give you some idea, but there can be difference. One thing to think of off the bat is the G35 coupe is listed lower than the 350z. Insurance is a big cost of ownership, just something you should really look at if you are close between the two.

ive actually been over the insurance **** with my dad (im 19 and would be still covered under our families insurance... go ahead, flame away if you will, i dont give a ****), and he said the insurance difference going from my car to a z or evo wouldnt be that big of a difference because my family insurance plan covers the cars, and the driver of the car isnt taken into consideration because the entire family is insured on each car... i dunno exactly whats up with that, but he said it doesnt really make a difference... plus we have 2 other sports cars in the family already... so i guess INSURANCE aside, more opinions?

Evo hands down.. IMO a 350Z is just a over price piece of bling. Nothing really to it, doesnt really look that hot, and just anouther way of saying i have a small D!ck and need something to compensate for it. Not to mention you have to do more work on it to get what you want out of it, and parts are a little bit harder to replace. Not very user friendly if you ask me.
Where as the Evo is just a work of art. Performance cars arent made to have an interior, sound system or any other iminiteys that a "normal" car would have. It is made for one thing and one thing alone, to drive! Either way your going to have a small interior. Nothig fancy just the basics *evo or 350.* The evo is going to out handle, and performe the 350 any day of the week as long as you know how to drive. Not to mention its a 4dr and if you end up having kids you aint going to have to sacrafice your car one day to get them around.
Seriouls look you would rather have this:

I'd get the Z. The Evo handles better in the corners, but you'll be more respected if you get the Z. Plus the potential of hp in the Z is far more than the 4cyl. Not to mention the resale value of the Z is better and the car will last longer.

now lets take the EVO that also has 280ish stock and drop that same 13grand into it. Well since its a more popular and I must say proven engine parts are alot cheaper and more avalible. You can completly build it run turbo, exhaust and fuel updrages as well. And easily get more than 420hp in an AWD car.

And yes the Evo is a work of art, athough it hasnt been in america long, they have been working on them from the dawn of time.. now if he could get an Evo V *or whats it the evo IV?*(who has that episode of top gear?)! that would be crazy, it will even out perform the Evo VIII! And it will only imporve as time goes on.
you wont find an evo that was not driven very hard. Hell when I bought a used evo, I found out it was crashed twice, with over 16,000 dollars in damage! Buy a new evo, you wont go wrong.
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

Well you can get the Evo and drive around like you are straight out of TFATF or the 350z and look like you are a person who buys a car and doesn't comprimise; style, sophistication, and performance.

EVO all the way. AWD is always better. Bigger back seat...think of what you can do with all that room. EVOs come fully equipped, less modding if it already has it all. More bang for the buck. Just my opinion.
