Civic vs Volvo... volvo won... this time READ

ok so i was making a u turn yesterday and 2 hs chix in a volvo 940 wagon hit me driver's side front, ripped off half my bumper, dented my hood as well as shifted it, my windshield broke, my driver's side fender is crushed, both airbags went off, and both light assemblies are shattered. how much do you think this will cost? and do you think the insurance company will total the car? i have a 14650 miles on the car and ive had this for 7months, its the volvos fault so yea. Some of my friends said this will cost over 5000 to fix. and one of my other friends said it could cost between 6 and 8 thousand dollars. what do you think

A lot just because of the air bag deployment. Do you have collision on your car? Because it might be better to just total it and get as much as possible. Especially since the car will never be the same if there is frame damage.

Glad to hear no one was hurt though.

yea...from what it sounds like....its gonna be alot just because of the number of parts that have to be replaced and the frame being bent is really bad, like said before...it will never drive the same.
I would hope for it to be totalled.

jerseydetailer has a little shameless behaviour in the past
way more than 5k...more like at least 8-9k...depends who pays the bill...if it your company most likely they will fix it but if its their company the will probaly total it...either way..if they require it to get fixed ask for oem honda parts and get it in writing...glad to hear you ok..in nj uturns in the middle of the street are 99% illegal..cept from certain streets that have a uturn sign so i hope you were in the right by making it in a designated area

i just had my windshield, both fenders, and hood replaced, and that cost $3300. but insurance covered all but the deductable ($100). and they repaired two minor dents as well in driver's door and driver's rear door (sedan).

In NJ You can make a U-Turn at any stop light unless there is a "No U-Turn" sign. It's one of those laws in the vein of "No Turn on Red" You should see Route 10 in Morris County. At pretty much every stop light there's people making u-turns even if there is no turning lane. But it's legal because there's no sign telling you not to.

yea they were hot haha, cheerleaders i saw one had a varsity jacket on, blonde hair and the other one was brunette, the brunette was the only one that asked if i was ok. the car was still driveable just illegally, cracked windshield where the passenger airbag lifted, bumper cracked in half and fell down but was still intact, the driver's side fender was dented in, and the hood was shifted over to the passenger side, my friend said that there might be (MIGHT) frame damage, he said it looked very minimal, which i hope is true cuz i like the 7th gen coupe (ex).. look nice and sporty, besides the d17a2 engine it is a nice car. Im driving my other car, 94 integra GSR that needs alot of work but what can i do.. if the civic is set to the scrap heap then im getting an EP3 no doubt about it. preowned w under 20k .. to answer your question yea i have collision, liability and comphrehensive... full blown on it cuz ive had the car for 7 months and i was about a week or 2 away from 15,000 miles...

oh yea and i was on the virtual median, the yellow striped area, the cop said it is legal to be out there on that 'island' but to cross over it like that girl did was 100% illegal. my appreciation for NJ SP's just got higher he even called AAA for me and called me Mr. " "

if this goes to scrap heap.. ill have alot of stuff for sale, but lets keep our fingers crossed

.............
