If you want a 300+hp WRX then get an STi. I dont think that the WRX is going to safely handle over 300 either. The engines are strong but the trasmission, axles, etc are probably not going to like having that much power going through them every day.

Why not be happy with 200-250 hp at the wheels? That is a lot of hp especially with a half decent all wheel drive system.
I am not trying to talk you out of getting one, but if you do I doubt that you will want to run 300hp from it every day!

If you have all those mods, and keep it as a daily driver, maybe you would want to look into getting a boost controller and strolling at oem boost levels then if you want to really move you can turn it up to where ever you are tuned for.

im looking at a RSX-S and a WRX both 2006...kinda like the rsx-s b.c its a high reving motor and has alot potential, but i like the WRX b.c it has AWD, already turbod and has nice potential also...
i kinda want something already turbod, less problems in a way...kinda want a 4dr again...
so damit idk...
i mean more or less the rsx-s has no problems what so ever and is a very good car..and you wouldnt have to worry about much with it..
IDK much abou the WRX.

Hell yeah I would get a 2006 WRX. The TR model to be precise. They made so much improvements in 2006. Here are key sellers to the car, the new 2.5 liter engine from the previous 2.0 (the STi has 2.5 liters). Then there's the STi fuel pump and 560cc injectors which are larger than the STi's. The the stronger new braking system and a transmission that is stronger than the old one proven to hold 300hp and 300tq to the wheels. Above that would be a different story lol. Another plus is that it only has 2 cats now located in the downpipe compared to the previous 3. They eliminated one of the cats in the uppipe, which saves you money because now there will be no need to replace the uppipe. All you need is a stage 3, Cobb Accessport, turboback exhaust, an STi TMIC, and an FP18G or 20G turbo and your shy a few hp from 300hp and 300tq to the wheels with the off the shelf tune included in the Accessport. Get the Accessport protuned and there is no doubt you will have exactly or a little over 300hp and 300tq to the wheels. Some 2006 owners have ran their stock WRX's in the track already and have netted mid to high 13's in the 1/4 mile.

clubwrx hmm..... I think you may find more info on NASIOC. 300WHP or 300BHP as your goal? WRX is a great buy, but it's a bit more costly to maintain and keep as a car compared to a Civic. And I wouldnt use it as a daily driver either b/c the clutch is heavier as well. For EJ20, 300WHP is easy! IHI VF34, Sti injectors, tune, turboback, youre pretty much done.

yeah if this should be the car i get, i have a list of parts i have in mind...some sti parts, and some cobb parts..i would like some lite modded, and still know it will last a long time..
i know when i had my civic turbod it was very nice, but i couldnt get it to work right...and i miss my honda being modded, it sucks being completely stock. but i never went out of the way to race poeple, or anyhting like that...it the chance came to race and it was safe so to say(not alot of poeple) sure why not... but for me its more of having a nice car to drive and know i got the power..would like to track it 2 sometimes.
thanks again!
Btw when i wa son my way home from golf i saw a rsx-s in black and it was stock and it was so nice..
its hard for me, i like the wrx and i like the rsx-s..i wish i could have both..the only thing i can say about the cars is that i know the rsx-s is probably a hell of alot more reiable then the wrx stock for stock. which is a plus..but im sure the suby is good also.

I'd go with the Subaru hands down, but part of that is because I never see them. So if you see them all the time I'd hesitate. As far as first mods with on I think suspension and more aggressive tires should be up on the list before power. Just my .05
