Honda trivia Questions

I'm looking to win a bet....if ya got a link to the info please post it too

---- What was the year of the first non-carboureated honda civic engine for the U.S.A?

---- Wasn't the NSX the first honda/acura to have V-tec?

---- Was the Crx was the first 's' badged honda/acura (in terms of S/Si badging)?

---- Does 'Si' stand for sport induction or sport injection or anything at all?

help is appreciated as I am too lazy to look it up myself hehe and since I have the unlimited rep.......

my1vtec is an unknown quantity at this point
The NSX came out in 1991, while b16's came out in 1988 and they had vtec...so no, the nsx wasnt the first honda.acura to have vtec

mrchowmein has a spectacular aura aboutmrchowmein has a spectacular aura aboutmrchowmein has a spectacular aura about
1) 1985 CRX Si, 1988 regular civics
2) B16a was the first vtec, NSX was the first production car with vtec in the US
3) No, cars like 1982 Civic S or S600 came before it. CRX came out in 1984.
4) sport injection since the S came first then Si came with fuel injection

Only proof I can find are from fan websites and forums which isn't 100% reliable.

Legit sources

For civic and crx stuff:
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...rticleId=68272

Vtec stuff. first vtec was for integra and civic. the engine found in the integra was a b16a.
http://world.honda.com/history/chall...e/text/01.html

i couldnt find anythign formal on the Si badging. however S models tended to be more sporty when the crx was in production, the Si however was the only one to integrate fuel injection. Thus my rationale for sport injection.
