Cross Country Essentials
An extra belt, a full sized tire, a few quarts of oil, jumper cables.
The belt is the most important. You dont get to decide if the town you are in has the belt in stock. You also dont get to decide if your belt snaps at 3 on sunday and everything is closed. I would try to not travel on sunday if you could.

A good Flashlight, extra rim & tire, cellphone, electric air pump w/ gauge & hazards light, wood ramps if your car's low(easier to change tire if flat), road/city map, small tool box with essentials, camera for some nice country shots & obviously food supplies..
