HELP! - 06 Civic Window Problem
HELP! - 06 Civic Window Problem
I own a 06 Civic EX I have had it for approximately 6 months... Since, It has gone back to the dealership twice due to the window coming off its track.
After the second time I had it serviced honda repairs told me that this will be the last time they will repair it, the reason being ... that the cause of it is from the aftermarket tint i had installed.
The tint was installed professionally and came out perfect the woman has been doing it for 17 years and does one car at a time... this is my fourth car tinted with her... my ford explorer, 98 accord, 04 CRV and 06 Civic.
My dad also has a 04 CRV and it happened twice to his and he has tint also and they repaired it both times.
I know that civics have been plagued with this problem in the past .... do you think the dealership has grounds to tell me that they will no longer repair this problem even if my auto is still under warranty!
What should I do????
Thanks in advance!

It's kinda **** for Honda to say that, but if you were persistent enough I'd say you could get them to do it maybe once more
I had this problem on my Eagle and all it turned out to be was a dirty window track - I cleaned it out and put a little bit of 3-n-1 oil and it fixed it, don't know if that'd work for you though. Just throwing it out there

thats a pretty stupid excuse. tint is paper thin and wont affect the track. Maybe you should tell them its the cars problem not the tint.
Well I have been doing searches on it and have found quite a bit of info on civics being notoriuos for window problems .... and my window tint is their cop out.
So I will jam it up Barry Honda's (N Dartmouth Massachusetts) @#% when it happens again ... the car is my wifes and she was the one that picked it up and who they had said it too.
I have been a big fan of Honda up until this point ...
