I'm going to get a tint done... I have been told that many cars come with a slight tint stock, like 90 or 95%. I want to get as much tint as I legally can (35% in my state, MA). So I want to know if I need to factor in any slight tinting that may already be on the windows.

Rep Power: 0 there is a slight greenish tint on our cars...I thought it was like 95%
I was told when I had my tint put on that whatever percent I got, it would drop about 5% because of the slight factory tint
I could be totally wrong though

Rep Power: 0 I ended up getting 20% on the back and little triangle windows and 35% on the front windows. I went with that because it fades into the windsheild really well. 20% all around looks weird with a clear windsheild.

Otherwise, love your car. I have a 05 sedan...might have to make my way over to your area and convince you to show me how to drop a car.

Rep Power: 257 That is not that dark, you should see 15% all around on a sedan, you cannot see in the back seats at all. My buddy has an 04 accord coupe with 35% all the way around, even on the front windshield. In the evening you cannot not even see a person sitting in the front seat from like five feet away. It looks a lot darker on the sides too, like 20-25%. That is the main reason he did it so that the sides who appear much darker, and if he ever gets pulled over he can just take it off the front, instead of everything. He goes to school out of state, so it really does not matter during the week. He is crazy though, sometimes you can barely make out the lines on some roads, especially in the rain.

Rep Power: 257 Oh yeah that reminds me, MBs are known for having like a purple/bluish hue when tinted because of that. I also remember hearing from a friend of a friend of osme guy who had one of his windows broken and the new window put in was tinted and looked different from the others. I think he ended up replacing all the windows so they were all black, so keep that in mind next time you go to buy a Mercedes.
