I've had an accident like this before, pretty similar, but not that bad. Because it was a hit and run and I dont have full coveraged, i've actually have to fix it myself. Took 2 grand and one full week to repaird and the frame is still bent. Imma save up and get that fixed pretty soon. Looks like your frame is not bent, so you'd shouldn't experience any problems after it is fixed, considering that the shop fixed everything the right way.
If your frame is bent, and the engine is pushed in, then i suggest you get rid of the car. If you have the estimate, can you list the major parts that need to be replaced or work on?

it will be back to normal, but it will be different. you can't just unbend a frame of a car. well its a bitch lol. parts that can't be gotten in could be the problem. or too much labor charge is another.

Yeah, my estimate came out to be 5 grand. I said hell no, got a couple buddies, and fixed it ourselves. My suggestion is dont do it yourself!! Get it in the shop, have it done the right way the first time. The frame can be pulled out or replaced, but it's gonna cost some $$$.

You hit them dead on. The car will be fine.

Remember, these are unibody cars. They have no frame. The whole body of the car is the frame. If any of the supports are bent, then they can be replaced. But it looks to me like you hit the car above your bumper support. I doubt that anything serious is bent.

I was in an accident similar to yours, except i hit the drivers side corner of the front of mine on the side of my friends CRX (who DRILLED a prelude). And my car drives absolutely perfect.

You really dont have to worry about the head on collisions as much as a glancing blow or a diagonal hit, because the diagonal hits will bend the car sideways. A head on collision will just crush parts, not bend them. I used to work at a bodyshop, and the dead on damages were always the easiest to pull straight and fix.

well my question would be did you hit and move the engine or just bent radiator and hoses.

wow im surprised they didnt give it a slavage tittle.....my car was like that too but not as bad.....

from what i can see you need to get a new

radiator, radiator support
bumper, bumper support
hood, lights, grille, and god knows what else is missing

and yes your car will be the same, just make sure they dont do a mickey mouse job on it. let the job take over a month or whatever but just make sure its a clean job. if they can get the radiator/bumper support to fit right you shouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Your car will never be the same as new--even if it feels like it's new.

Sure you can replace the parts that visually are off, but an accident means thousands of parts getting pushed and stressed. Tiny bends and fractures. Subtle contortions of parts. You may not notice or even feel it for awhile, but later on it might surface with various little parts failing, bolts messing up, etc.

if you have a good body shop do the repair work, the car will be fine for long after it leaves your hands.
