Hit N Run!
well tonight i was on my way to a friends house at nightime. i was going about 40 and i saw the car swerving into the ditch randomly. so im like
then all of a sudden, i see this deer in front of me...i slam on my brakes and stopped quite fast since i was only going close to 40. i had swerved to the left a little into the oncoming lane since it was a 1 way road each way and the other guy was on the right side. anyways, i look to my right and see the deer trying to get up, but it cant, like its leg is broken. but i see it alive and well. i then proceed to drive up a little and pull off the road w/ my blinkers on. as i do, i see traffic coming and hope they're see it. nope, they dont. next thing you know i see the guy run over the deers head and bottom and swerve. the guy behind him slams on his brakes but slides and hits the other guy. this ever happen to anyone? a wild animal just jump out and cause a accident?

That's fvcked up, I've seen a lot of this. One time a horse tried to get to the other way of the highway, cause there are some people that live beside it and have this animals, and an old lady crashes with the horse, I was behind that lady, thank god I saw the horse and downshifted and stopped. The crash was ugly the front windshield was completely destroyed and the hood was slammed, but the horse got up with minor scratches
Another accident, My friend told me that his uncle died cause of a wreck with a cow, the legs of the cow entered the windshield and the poor animal was kicking like a freack and you can imagine what happened to the head of the person
. And there a lot more I could tell you...

wow, that is crazy.
when i had my civic and my pretty good suspension setup, i would occasionally drive on this road called baltimore road, with a lot of curves and stuff rated at 15-20 mph. my friends and i would drive this road at night, its probably a 9-10 minute run, and we carried an average speed of 70 i would guess.
I never saw any deer or anything (this road is out in the country btw, loops around to the other side of town, but not many people ues it), so i didn't think anything of it. well anyways, i was talking to this guy that i work with (i deliver pizza) who lives down that road on a golf course, and he told me to stop doing that, because there is always stuff popping out of the trees.
right after that, i had a delivery that was off of baltimore road, and i was going 35 (10 under the speed limit), and a deer popped out of nowhere, i slammed on the brakes, and came within inches of it. that scared me into never driving at ridiculous speeds at night on baltimore.

yea, after that i used 2 hands to drive the whole way to his house and back. but the image in my head of the deer just trying to get back up.... i almost wanted to jump outta my car and help it but i was just like oh man, what should i do.
**** yea.. you got real lucky. There are tons of stories out there that involves a fatal crash with wildlife. A former co-worker once told me he read a story on the paper that a driver of a tractor trailer was killed when he strucked a moose. The engine of the truck completely crushed into the cabin killing the driver instantly. The moose managed to wonder one mile into the woods and eventually died of blood loss.
