hey, i read through the thread about the speeding ticket, and had a question or two to ask you, if you don't mind. You had commented on the five over limit, and i heard somewhere that an officer can justly pull over a person who is speeding by at least three mph, nothing less....is that true? Also, since i'm 18, i've read many things about how to avoid or 'get out of' tickets...but the best advice i've heard is just to be respectful, don't be an a@@, and nicely admit to the officer that you made an honest mistake and should have been paying more attention. Does that generally result in more warnings than tickets? I've only received one ticket, in Ft. Worth, TX, for 81 in 65 on interstate 820.....the cop was nice and commented on my car, we had a laugh or two about my mistake, and i took defensive driving. In the small neighborhood where i live, Willow Park, there are some 'small town pigs' as ppl call them, who harass people and embarassed a friend of mine who was speeding by 3mph in a day care van full of kids. What is your view on these guys?
