So you have an HX, LX, EX, don't you? Light on OUR clusters (DX, thank-you-very-much) is turned on only when sidemarkers are on.

haha.. dats not really a dumb thing.. i said it was just a thought,.. and i ddnt think of if without thinking dat i might not be able to see the cluster.. but since lx models clusters lights are always on.. it woulb be visible.. just like smoked gauges(ex. boost gauge)

I kinda like the VW clusters how they only illuminate up to the needle. I'd love to have something like that.
