hey, well thanks for all the input guys: i think for the most part we have concluded that the 8th gen civic is just not the same as previous gen's. at the same time it is still going to be a good car, since it is a honda but the new designing has shown the the dx, lx, and ex is more focused on the daily driver, while the si is still focusing on the moder.

I think one thing to conclude is that you cannot say the 8th gen is worse than the 7th. Its as good or much better, depending if you are resistant to change or not. The class the civic is in is getting better and better with features and power and styling. It looks good, it performs well, and it has alot of features available.

^^^ thats true, if the Civic continued the way it was, Honda may not be selling too many 8thgens. The 8thgen Civic, despite the debateable looks, is argueably the new benchmark.

if you think that 8thgen is ugly, take a look at its competition, the 07 sentra and come back here and try to say that again.
i guarantee you the 06 civic is by far the HOTTEST most well thought out car against other cars in its segment.
