Hidden radar detector

Okay guys, I searched but couldnt find what im looking for. I was wondering is there a radar detector that you can hide all the components except for maybe some leds or something showing the detection of the radar or laser. As you can see I know nothing about these things. I am looking for a good one, I dont want to waste my money. I'm looking in the range of $500 or less. But I dont want a cop to be able to see it if I do get pulled over, I want it to be hidden from their view. But so I can see it or hear it if it detects the coppers. LOL. Thanks guys any info on this will be helpful. Also what is the best model for this price range. If you guys have any pics of yours hidden and how you mount them please feel free to post the pics, also. I have seen the ones that mount the little camera looking things on the front of the car, I have tsunami body kit so I would like to place it where its not that visible though. So where you guys have your mounted would help. Thanks Chet

The K40 or whatever is a hidden module isn't it? Plus they guarantee you won't get one or they will pay for it even though you'll still have to deal with the insurance raising. Im not 100% sure but I thought it so a hidden radar detector.

There are several. The k40 is one and is very nice. Some of these however can cost 2k which probably isnt worth it unless you have big *****.

yeah i've hear good things about the k40. but just as a precautionary if you do end up going for the norm od detectors, i'm pretty sure they have to be on the windshield in order to "see" down the road if you drop it under the dash supposedlly it isn't as effective. hope it helps

I've seen someone take apart a "normal" radar detector and stuff it into a rally monkey doll, which hangs on the rear view mirror.

I've got a regular Cobra radar. I just have it mounted right above the rear view mirror, I have the power cord running in the ceiling cover thing, and its hard-wired so I can turn it on and off with a toggle switch I have in my car.

Its "stealthy" but not completely invisable. I've kinda inspected whether or not its visible from a "policemens point of view" and its hardly visable at all. I put it up there cause it detects better from a higher point in the car, and if a cop can see a radar in your car when you get pulled over, chances are youre going to get a ticket.
