Knoxville teen's memory honored in an unusual way
Police say 19-year-old Allen Ward was speeding when he went off the road and crashed into a tree Wednesday night on Mynatte road. Advertisement
On Saturday, the Knoxville teen's friends and family honored his memory in a special way. No candlelight vigil, or moment of silence. In fact there was nothing quiet about the way 19-year-old was remembered.
Ward's friends brought out their cars and "burned rubber" in the street by his parents home.
"His whole life was about cars," said Ward's little sister Kristen. "All his friends are coming out and they're just spinning their tires for him."
"He's probably up in heaven watching us right now and just smiling on us," said Ward's friend Luke Norton.
Ward's parents said their son would not have had it any other way.

its definately a nice way to be remembered, it represents what the kid was supposedly all about.
i hope the family also had a conventional tribute along with that.
i wont lie, when i watched the video it does make you feel for the kid.
if i ever went out, no matter how, if possible id want my car run at the track to get the best time (if turbo wasnt in yet id like it in) then just do a burnout till the tires pop and at that point a moment of silence.

Reminds me of what I did for my homeboy when he passed away this past Spetmeber. Homeboy was only 20 years old, buried him on my birthday Sept. 28, but I got him some studs, an ounce, golden wraps, and nice Ghetto Superstar Sticker I pasted on his casket. I knew he would've done the same for me.
