i was on myspace the other day and there was a banner about pimp your ride, so i clicked on it and filled out their lilttle app to see if i was accepted. i only did this for the hell of it, didnt really care if i was accepted or not cuz i dont know much about sponserships. well i was acctepted and got all schoolboyish. haha
should i accept this **** or what???
seems legit, got ok brands if sponsered, and i would love to mod my car whether its engine or interior or external cuz i cant afford much at the time. i might be able to talk the woman into it but not really sure. i thought i would ask the greatest peeps i know first. what u think?? oh i forgot its from carsponserships.com also. now what u think??

it's actually not a scam. Not if it's carsponsorships.com. I got sponsored through them and they've really cleaned up they're program. I got great deals on all types of stuff for my car, just not performance parts...so if your looking for them you might not want to sign up. I've already saved enough money on parts for my car where it payed the 80$ back

Rep Power: 298 yeah i filled it out but stoped after credit card just to see. then get a call a month later, im told 12k sponsorship for 1st year, but discount not free, wtf, then i ask what do u offer for my car for turbo wise, just as a test, they tell me hks, gredds, turbonetics, im like they dont make a kit. this lady tries to convince me so im like i dont buy it. how about dezod's kit or tsi. she puts me on hold to talk to parts manager and says he never heard of them for 01-05 civic. wtf. i told her hell no you really know **** lady and hung up. she said they wont show me a contract or anything until i give them 80 bux, 75 of which is tax deductable. what a scam, thank god i never gave my card or anything to them. SCAM.

i filled out the app for carsponsorships.com at NOPI when i was there last year and the guy from the booth actually called me the following tuesday. sounded ok so like tuner(^^) i got to asking questions about parts and discounts and such. same thing, send us 80 bux and we'll talk, blah blah blah...not falling for it man.

Rep Power: 283 yeah--i got a call one time from sport compact pro on day a couple of years ago. they asked me what i had on my car---which is cai, exhuast, and blacked out headlights---they were like sounds great. they said that if i sent a 80 dollar donation that they'd sponser me. :thumbsdown:

Rep Power: 321 its a damn scam, no matter what anyone says, you pay them to sponsor u? WRONG, thats not sponsorship, and like they give 12k to someone with an almost stock car, plz. These people need to be shut down.
