Well, I've just arrived in Chicago and Tuan will be arriving later this evening. This is in preparation for Honda's "top secret" World Introduction tomorrow at 3PM.
If you've been paying attention to the news section and our forums here for the last few months, the introduction is not a secret. We're not sure why Honda's trying to keep such a tight lid on it, but I guess it's to keep everybody wondering until the last minute. Over the past few days I've looked around the web and apparently we're the only folks who are aware of what's being shown, or the other outlets know but are being subjected to blackmail tactics to keep a lid on it.
We're going to do our best NOT to ruin the surprise for Honda - it's only 24 hours away, but if you look around here enough I'm sure you'll figure it out.
DING DING DING!! IT'S THE CIVIC SI SEDAN!!!
Looking at the lineup, there are only a few items of interest here otherwise. Lexus is launching the ES350, Toyota is debuting the new Tundra. On the domestic front there's a Dodge Nitro and Saturn Aura and maybe a few other things.
We do like the Windy City - sorry, Detroit but Chicago is a much nicer place to be, even if it's 20F with a bitter wind blowing.
Stay tuned for further updates.
I personally like the coupe better, but here it is to you Sedan fans

i think it looks tight
. and hey, hondas giving everyone a choice to buy the coupe or the sedan. if you dont like it, get the coupe and shut your mouths and stop bashing the sedan. i personally like the idea. its probably targeted to the guys who need a sedan, for the room, etc, but still want the performance of the SI.
Well, I like it, and as a sedan owner, I would certainly buy it (if I needed to get another vehicle). It would be nice to have both the performance enhancement of the SI and the convenience of four doors (my coupe days are way behind me).
It's all academic, though...I'm keeping my 01 for now.

IMO I don't think Honda should have done that in a tuners point of view. Because the way I see it is Honda is one of the main leaders in the after market industry. If everyone has the same engines in a lot of the models, what is there to look forward to improve? (I’m really tired at work so I might not make any since, sorry)
But on Honda’s part in sales, yes they made an excellent decision making a more powerful Civic available for family based owners with mid income. My $.02.

they made this for all of the 7thgen civic 2.0 i-vtec fans who were complaining that we didnt get one here stateside so they basically brought the csx from canada here with the beefy K20Z3 197hp engine and put the US sedan rear end and coupe front on it

Which was a hatch by the way... so do you think they should have NOT made it into a coupe?
