how much $$ can i expect to get out of my car?

i have a 2001 civic ex put back in stock condition, no kit, no leather, no system, no engine mods. IT DOES HAVE AN OEM SPOILER. its satin silver and has a dark charcoal interior with the normal EX options. the only thing not stock is the windows are tinted. it has 6k thousand miles and a clean title, full warranty, blah, blah. i want to put the kit and other mods on a 2002 ex that im buying today. lol...its 439am and i have until 9am, me excited? nah. anyway, the 01 is paid for and im buying the 02 cash because ive heard ill loose my @ss if i trade. HOW MUCH CAN I GET OUT OF MY 2001? just wanted an idea of what i could get out of it. i was looking for 12500 ish? am i shooting way too high? i figured to try to sell it local then resort to ebay. thanks

Hehe, sorry... I'm gonna have to disagree with you JBlaze...

Sell it closer to the price you bought the car (without tax). That would be like a few hundered to a thousand less compared to the 2002 EX. Why? It's a freaking Honda! Hondas have the highest resale value and that car is still pretty new. From what it's mileage, it only needed to go through one oil change. Still try to sell it like it's new, especially if it's still new. My 2002 EX has 6500 miles on it... there are few to no blemishes on it. (You'd have to have a pretty good eye or a pretty foolish eye.)

Yeah, sell it for more. You should be able to get close to 15K for it. The 12,500 is basically trade in value that the dealer will give. Shoot higher and if it doesn't sell put Best Offer on the price.

if you try to sell it too close to the price of a new 02 ex, why would anyone want to buy it when they could get a brand new one for just a little bit more. i would try to sell it for $1000-2000 less than the original price, that way someone who wants to buy it is getting a good deal on an almost new car and youre not losing too much money on it

dont trade your car in. i tried to do that for an rsx-s and they wanted to give me 11k for it. youre better off selling it yourself for around 15k.

btw... what are you doing buying the same freaken car twice and cash??
