<< i pay around 335 for 5 years, but the car is only costing me 13g's total. - A fully loaded Lx too. >>

You're paying $335 for 60 months (5 years)? Then you're not paying 13 Grand.

335 x 60 = 20100

Damn.....was not expecting a response of this size. but there sure are a variety of payments, mine is 231 for 5 years. and for all u people who payed cash, lucky bastards. and the guy who gave up the COBRA, are u sick. u got half the engine. definetly dont think i would have made that move. i also put 4750 down, and i get free car washes for life at the dealership car wash, the only bad thing is, is with the car lowered i cant go throught darn thing bc it scrapes the thing. so that dont do me ne good ne more.

Looks like I am the winner for the highest payment. All I had as a down payment was my $500 beater that I traded in. My payments were $515 a month, but they have been lowered to $407 a month now. That is for a 5 year term. That is in US dollars, not Canadian. I hope to refinance in a year after I have established some credit. I hope to bring it down another $100. That would be nice.

Mine is low...But I put a down payment of like $6000 and then got a loan for $10,400. So my payments are almost exactly $200 buck for 5 years. I plan on paying it off way sooner thou

$200 down. $338/month for 5 years.

I pay extra each month so now my payments are much lower (under $300). Hopefully I'll get my Civic paid off in 2-3 years.

The thing is there's no point in paying it off sooner. Or if it's open ended. In the first year or so you're not even paying for the car. All you're paying is the interest. After the interest is payed, then you start paying for the car. The banks always win.
