I thought it was funny how far off video games really are from reality. I mean yes it makes sense that there are just too many factors in the real world to have in a video game, but his times were way off

nice vid. i don't care about the times... playing that course on Gran Turismo 3 helped me out for when i DID go drive the course in my car! I'm just glad i didn't wipe out!

so what was your time? and how much does it cost to drive on leguna seca? is there like an amateur program where you have to get a license or what. it sucks not living near any tracks.

i dont know how familiar you guys are with xbox, but the game Forza Motorsport did a test with some pro GT racer or something like that, and they set up a whole driver interface for him with steering wheel, pedals, stick shift and 3 high def TVs to simulate a real driving experience and his times were almost exatly the same in the game as they were in real life...

^^ Forza is a good game also! but it's still lacking many things.... such as steering wheel respsonse, brake pedal response, G-force on the human body, etc....

true...
the steering wheeland pedals they made for the game apparently has good feedback to help with stuff like that... but yea, not the same as really driving...
