Just sent Honda Tuning an Email...

This was it... also don't flame me for doing this, because nobody here really knows squat about what can and can not be done to our cars. It's just arguing back and forth.

Hi,
First off, I just wanted to say that I totally loved your tech article on pg 30 of the Feb/March 02 issue. I am the proud owner of a 2001 Honda Civic EX, and would just like to respond to your editor's note of that same issue. I would really like to see a break down of the lowly D17A2 engine, including any possible engine swaps, part swaping, etc. that can be had for it. I know the new Si is going to steal the "lime-light" as it has in the past, yet I would still like to see what can be done to my engine (or engine bay). There is much debate on what could be down to it at my forums at www.7thgencivic.com, with only debate, nobody really knows what can be done. My question isn't so much what bolt-ons (ie. Intake/Header/Exhaust) can be done, but what true power adders are out or in the works (like the HKS turbo kit) that can be done to it. On the forums, we have one member trying to do a K20 swap from a totalled RSX Type-S, but so far he has been unable to find a shop that is willing to go where no shop has gone before (sorry for the cheesy StarTrek line). Please help us out, because we are all looking to add some bite to our Civics. Also, can you help out with our current debate on how we can go about undoing our aweful returnless fuel system? We are all basically dumbfounded on how to get our fuel systems up to par if and when the HKS turbo kit does come out.

Thank you for your time,
Dale ******

PerfectD3, good job. Maybe we can get some real answers instead of speculation.
