shaved emblems...now i'm screwed!

well it's simply like this:
i when to the garage, took out my mom's hair dryer, and then i started heating the sucker up, tood the "civic" and the "DX" off, but then the problem came around to haunt me..... it looks like the civic and dx sign are sunburn on my car ....o can still see them both, like a shadow on the car, i tried wd-40, and nail polish remover, and nothing worked....so my car looks like a suntan

plz help me out here, what did i do wrong..or how can i fix this?

use some rubbbing compound and a high rpm buffing wheel! Then use some hand glaze or wax to protect newly buffed area!Dakota

your DX came with an emblem?? Mine didn't! Do you have the sedan or something?

Btw, your paint probably faded, and of course under the emblems it stayed the same colour....i doubt cleaning agents will do much. Just put em back on so it doesn't look so bad dude...

I'm in the same boat dude, I still can see mine esp. when it's raining and it starts to dry, I'm going to get a full detail on my car and see how it turns out.

For the person who has had their car for 5 months:

I've had mine for 5 months too. I took mine off two weeks ago, and it left no marks. Then again, I wash my car every week, so it'll vary...

I had my car for like 6 months before I shaved them off, and it looks perfect.

Just buff it, wax, and it should be fine.

USE FLOSS to shave the emblems... it can't hurt the car, and all you have to do is scratch off the rest of the adhesive with your fingernail. The CIVIC emblem was easier to remove than the trim emblem.
