first off if it was a real open casting call than they would have a flyer for like a show style thing, they would have an email @mtv.com etc

Here in Tulsa, OK, there is a Midas next to the main cruise strip and it use to be a pretty popular park n hang out spot (until some ricers took over) and some guy was trying to get more people to sign up to go to a car show (sign up now pay later)...you would list your first and last name and your phone number...his list was really full when he asked my friend if he wanted to sign up but my friend said no.....that was a good call cuz my friend got a call from a guy that he knew that was also there with us...he had signed up and his car got broken into a few days later....then my friend later told me that a bunch of people that signed up on that list got their cars broken into....

...so careful out there man...

Yeah sounds like a sting to me.
Entrapment as a justification defense
the defendant must prove that she or he was encouraged by agents of the state to engage in a criminal act she or he would not have engaged in otherwise.
Police cannot persuade an innocent person to commit a crime, nor can they coerce a suspect into doing so, even if they are certain he/she is a criminal.
